Prologue: Welcome to Gaia |

Kat yawned as she waited for the train to arrived. She had to work late again, her co-worker Maria had to leave home early for a "Family Emergency". Yeah right translation she wanted to have some time with her boyfriend. This was the third time this week and Kat was getting sick of it, but still it gave her more hours and money in her pocket to pay the bills and whats left for something herself like a new book, clothes, CD. ect.
As Kat waited her phone went off, the ringtone was a song from her favorite band Abney Park she pulled it out and answered it.
"Hello?" she said.
"Where are you?" said a male voice at the other end, it was her father.
"Waiting for the train to arrive and I will be home shortly don't worry," she told him.
"I thought you were coming home around six what happen?" he asked her.
"Maria had a so called emergency and left me doing her work and mine." she replied back.
"I don't trust that girl she is bad news and letting you do her work for her."
"Dad it is alright."
"No it's not have you talked to your supervisor about this?"
"My supervisor is her boyfriend dad what am I saposse to do?"
"Well that's news to me?"
"Dad I told you this before."
"When?"
"A few months ago," she sighed as she shock her head.
Kat's father bless his heart was not doing so well, a few year ago while she was in collage at the time her father bumping his head on a bumper of his truck while changing the tires in a parking lot on a cold February morning when a lady slammed her brakes and accelerator at the same time that cause the ascendent.
After all that he was sent to the hospital with stitches and was lucky nothing bad happen to him but it scared her mother and herself as well.
Now his memory and his attuned was now different as if Kat didn't recognized him anymore. Her father was acting like a two year old, saying things to her and to her mother, and many other things that gave not just Kat a headache but her mother's as well.
It was decided after college that Kat would move in the house with her parents to make things easier but it didn't. Every day it was a battle between her and her father which ended in yelling and screaming which was not what she wanted in the first place. She wanted to leave and move out but she knew her mother wouldn't have the strength to take care of her father so she stayed. A few months later she got a job to help out with the bills and many other stuff as well but it was not enough not for her.
"Look dad I have to go the train is coming and I will be home soon so please don't worry alright?" she said to her father.
"Ok, but be safe you know those trains are dangerous," he said to her, "And....."
"I know father you don't have to reminded me I will talk to you when I get home, good-by."
She hung up the phone and gave out a big sigh, then her phone went off again.
"What now?" she said as she answered the phone, "Dad I told you...."
"Dad?" said another male voice on the phone it wasn't her dad it was her supervisor.
"Oh sorry I thought you were ...." she said trying to apologist to her supervisor.
"That's alright look Kat I need you to come in early tomorrow."
"What? she said a bit shocked, "But sir it is my day off tomorrow?"
"I know but it seems Maria is feeling under the weather and well?"
Kat can hear in the background is Maria giggling her supervisor told her to be quite but that wasn't working at all, Kat frowned and gave out a big sigh.
"Fine," she said, "I will be there."
"Great see you then," said her supervisor as he hung up.
Kat hanged up and gave out a big scream lucky there was no one around her when she did it.
"This is crazy fist my dad, my boss, what next," she said trying to keep it together.
"I should have told that wind bag of of a boss of mine that I quite but no it would upset my dad and worst. What am I going to do?"
The recorded announcer announced the train was coming down the track and would stop soon. A few min later the long train came and stopped. The recorded announcer told to stand clear as the doors open. When they did Kat stepped inside and found a place to sit, there was no other people in the train cart with her so she had the place to herself.
As she looked outside the window to the black sky she began to wish, for a better life she has now. The doors closed and the train began to move, at the same time her phone went off again this time it was a text message from Gaia Online.
Kat recognized it because she was a local there on the forum talking to friends, chatting, and playing a few of their games on there but for them sending her a text was a new thing she open it and read it.

Kat gave a weird look, was this a joke? She knew Gaia wouldn't do something like this, maybe it some kind of hacker trying to get her password to steal her stuff or worse but still. She thought for a moment would she respond to it or not thought for a moment, she responded to the text. When she did her phone went off again it was another text from Gaia Online it read.
THIS IS NO JOKE OR A SCAM! COME ON WHAT IS KEEPING YOU FROM PLAYING THE BEST GAME EVER. IT WILL CHANGE YOU LIFE TRUST US!
Kat thought once more and had no choice she respond to the the text, the same moment the lights began to flicker in and out and her phone went off again she open it and read it.

The moment she read that she felt dizzy, her head began to hurt, she closed her eyes for a second and then everything went black.
