history: Born to a Japanese father and a Russian mother, Yuri never fit in with either culture. When his parents were killed, a 12 year old Yuri was left to make his own way in the world, not having been told by his harmonixer father the full blessing and curse of his gifts. Although he wasn't the heroic type, Yuri settled into the only career he could, a monster hunter, but his transformations into monsters himself made it impossible for him to ever settle down in one place and live a normal life.
