Username: Darii Trainer name: Claus Lucien Usuzovani Age: 31 Gender: Male Occupation: Cyberneticist, former stock trader. Faction: Blitz Admin (Galactic) / Chief Blitz Financial Officer
Cybernetics-- the study of having a goal and taking action to achieve that goal. Roughly translates as "Governor."
Personality: As an expert programmer, mathematician and cybernetiticist, Claus is fluent in the language of logic. He rationalizes and objectifies everything he comes across, filing it away as a component of a greater system. His line of work influences everything he does; his knowledge of cybernetics causes him to have a near-OCD level compulsion for efficiency, and also occasionally causes him to speak in a near incomprehensible level of mathematical jargon. Surprisingly, he isn't emotionless, though he doesn't let his feelings interfere with his decisions. Background: Claus always rationalized everything. As a child, while other children were playing outside and training their Pokémon, Claus was inside reading books and studying. While other trainers took off to begin their Pokémon journeys, Claus took off to proceed higher education. He majored in Mathematics, specializing in dynamic systems. He went on to become a stock trader, and though successful, he grew tired of his job quickly. He wrote a few pseudo-intelligent programs to manage his investments for him while he pursued other ventures. In the meantime, Team Galactic had risen to power in Sinnoh, a syndicate with the cover of a legitimate business, that promised to create a new, perfect, world. Claus couldn't help but agree with their message. There was plenty to be fixed in the world, inefficiencies to be cut, systems to reconfigure. He ended up investing quite a sum in Galactic stock, and as a result owned one of the largest portions of the company. When Team Galactic had fallen apart, Claus was distraught. Who was to create the perfect system? Tired of waiting around, Claus finally officially resigned his job as a stock trader and bought up more than half of the Team Galactic stocks. As the new owner of a failed syndicate and moderately successful business venture, Claus took it upon himself to recreate the perfect world. He was on the verge of unveiling his new plan (in secret) to the Galactic Admins when he was contacted for his Team's inclusion in the Blitz alliance. He had the plans it took to pull out his vision, but not the resources. As a result, he accepted the invitation gladly. Skills: Claus' superior logical thinking skills lends himself to managing logistics and finances for Blitz. He also puts his programming skills to work by using upgraded versions of his earlier stock trading programs to earn money for Blitz, as well as writing a few counter-intrusion programs to defend the team's internal network. It's been rumored that he has occasionally dipped his hand into research budgets for pet projects, but any attempts to catch him have failed. Experience: Claus isn't very experienced in battling, but when he does, he leans on strategy heavily. After all, Pokémon battling is just another system. Vision: Claus' vision for the world is to eliminate all inefficiency, at any cost. Writing off a "whole new galaxy" as being too far fetched and near impossible to predict, Claus intends to do this through maximizing the world that is already there. He finds humans to be too inefficient on their own, and too dense to listen to the explanation as to why. As a result, the only logical conclusion is to obtain a position of power where he must be listened to, and where he can personally maximize the efficiency of everything.
The world is just one big system, after all, and efficiency can be increased with the right mathematical calculations and twists of political, social and economic knobs.
Party Pokémon:
ICE the Porygon-Z (Indigenous Control Executable) v1.07a Coded from scratch by Claus to help defend the Team Blitz computer network. Runs on more efficient base code than default Porygon-Z models, but lacks customization. As a result, ICE has higher Speed and Special Attack stats, but has a very limited movepool. Usually resides in the system's server farm.
LIFO the Porygon2 (Lifelike I F Organism) v3.27final Resides inside Claus' pair of augmented reality glasses, and provides subtitles for any Pokémon speech in the area. As a modification of one of Claus' earlier stock-trading programs, LIFO doesn't have all the combat skills of a normal Porygon2 when in meatspace, but does have a markedly larger movepool.
Taze the Female Eelektross Seldom sees the light of day.
