Alexia smiles, bringing the newly born baby girl closer to her chest. The baby squirmed weakly, still tired from the effort it took her to break from the shell. Alexia had been there the whole time, waiting for the hatchling to make way into it's new world, with a warm towel and a wet rag. When the hatchling finally emerged in a non-surprising slimy flop through the corners in the egg, Alexia had wiped most of the baby clean, not bothered that she was getting the ooze on different places other then the rag. Once the baby was decently clean, she snatched up the little girl, wrapping her in the towel and bringing her into her own arms.
The baby wasn't all too bad. Alexia noted, with a smile, that the baby would actually be able to speak when it grew up. It did have some wounds that worried her. She'd have to patch them up with a few bandages later...
The hatchling gurgled, curling into Alexia's warmth. The baby was just as soft and cuddly as it's own father, it seemed. "Good girl." Alexia breathed, scratching the baby's mane softly. Alexia walked over to the couch and laid down on it carefully, as to not jolt the baby. She coo'd at it, smiling the whole time.
