For those of you who know me on a personal level, you know I'm a generally happy-go-lucky kind of person, but I feel the need to rant. The title explains it all. For those who don't know me on a personal level, take this rant as you see fit. I'm just like everyone else you'll ever meet: you either love me or hate me. If you have a problem with anything I'm about to say, let me know. I'm open to confrontation/debate since this is just a rant anyway. Any slandering comments made on my profile or this journal entry will be deleted and dealt with individually.
People Who Take Things Too Personally: You know who you are. You get all huffy about someone hurting your pride, so you resort to name-calling and violence. How childish can you be?? If you don't know this person on a personal level, there's no use getting upset about them because it's not likely they have any major influence on your life. There will be rude people no matter where you go, so learn to suck it up and move on if someone insults you. Don't waste your time bickering over something that's meaningless.
Hypocrites, Ignorant & Stupid People: I think everyone knows what a hypocrite is, but just to clarify for those who don't, it's someone who complains about another person doing something, and then doing that said thing themselves, thinking they can get away with it. There is a fine line between ignorance and stupidity. Ignorance means you are without knowledge and/or consideration for those around you, and think you can do whatever the hell you want. Stupidity is knowingly doing something you know will offend other people. I think we all know the golden rule from kindergarten: "Treat others as you wish to be treated." You expect to be treated nicely? How about treating others nicely first? Not very many things in this world are free, so for those who expect a red carpet treatment, you won't be getting it without some sort of price. Those who think they can do what they want without some sort of consequence WILL NOT survive in this world. You get beat up and shot for that s**t.
People Who Whine Too Much About Losing a Significant Other or Crush: Yeah, I'm not saying you won't be depressed about this happening. People get dumped and turned down every day, so it's nothing new. I just can't deal with people who take too damn long to move on. Take a good ******** look around you, for those who can't move on, and realize there's over 6 billion people living in this world, so chances are you can find someone new to be with. People act like it's the end of the world when they get turned down or they break up from a serious relationship. Why the hell do you do this, especially if that said relationship only lasted for a few months? It shouldn't take you that long to get over. For those who have been in a relationship for a couple years, yeah, it may take longer to get over the loss, but let's face it, there's no use whining over something that wasn't meant to be or that won't happen again. Learn to move on, because whether you like it or not, the rest of the world is moving on without you. Nobody likes a person who can't get over themselves.
People Who "Can't" Get Out of Abusive Relationships: Believe it or not, this not only applies to women, but it applies to men as well. These kinds of people think they're victims because they think that if they get out of the relationship, they'll never find anyone new OR the person will hunt them down and resort to violence/stalking. I've got two words for you: restraining order. As I mentioned before, there are over 6 billion people living in this world, so chances are you will find someone better for you. Nobody deserves to be in an abusive relationship, so stop wallowing in your self-pity, get off your lazy a**, and get out of that relationship before you get yourself even more abused, or even worse, killed.
People Who Can't Do Their Job: I can't stand getting lousy service from anyone. It seems no matter where you go, there's always a dud in the service. Fast food places are notorious for this. I can't tell you how many times I or someone I know have been constantly putting up with lousy-a** cashiers. They DON'T listen to what you say, and sometimes even cut you off. For example, if I order a burger with just mustard and ketchup and they ask me if I want cheese, that pisses me off. Uhm, did I SAY I wanted cheese? No, douchebag, so learn how to ******** listen!! And those that cut you off are the worst. "What would you like?" "I'd like a--" "You said you wanted a cherry pie?" The ********?? You didn't even let me ******** finish, a*****e, so don't get upset if I call the manager on your a**. I don't even know how these idiots got the job in the first place when their main requirement is to be able to listen to the customer. There are other places with people who can't do their jobs, but I'm sure you already know what those are like.
People Who Freak Out Over Celebrities' Wrongdoings: Celebrities are just like us "regular" people: they. are. human. They are not gods, so stop ******** treating them like they are when they ******** up. You think they're so messed up when they do something that we normally do: underage drinking, drugs, and other felonies. I know, this is what the celebrities signed up for when they got the job: they signed up for both fame and possibly ridicule. But people make too big a deal out of something that's normal. Stop freaking out and calm the ******** down. There are other celebrities you can worship, so stop getting your panties in a knot.
There's loads more, but I'll get to them later. For those of you who have read this, let me know what you think. Like I said, I'm open to confrontation and debate since I don't think EVERYONE will agree with me. Like I said, these are just my opinions anyway, so it's not like I'm trying to shove my ideas down your throat.
