It's like today, or is it?
It could be 20 years ago, or 20 years into the future.
However, you notices your jaws, your oddly placed ears .... and your tail ....
And then you remember the reason for your current ... form, be it magic, radiation, a medical experiment, bionic implants, a combination of them, or something else ....
The ones who made you such, directly or indirectly, may want you for experiments, or for making duties.
The question is, though, what do you want?
