___Beatrix Jae Landon
Gender
___Female
Age
___Seventeen
Year
___Seventh
House
___Ravenclaw
Blood
___Half-Blood

Ethnicity
___Half-Filipina and Half-British. She's dominantly Filipina in appearance but has a fair complexion.
Hair & Eyes
___Due to a poorly aimed color-change charm when her brother was studying for his N.E.W.T.s, her black hair and almond-shaped brown eyes were accidentally "dyed" a shockingly bright purple. Thankfully after three years of trying to tame the latent effects, it has since merged with her natural coloring creating a lovely deep shade of purple. Her long pin-straight hair extends past her waist, but is often kept in a low ponytail.
Physique & General Appearance
___Bea is a petite, slender girl standing at roughly 5'3" and 108 lbs. She prides herself in keeping fit and maintaining a well-kempt appearance. Despite her tomboyish tendencies, she is very much a girly-girl when it comes to clothes; muggle skirts and light robes being her favorites.

___Ragnar, Northern Hawk Owl. He was given to her by her grandfather before leaving for Hogwarts. She enjoys his company on her daily flights during the summer or weekends. When she tried to teach him a bit of Falconry, he stubbornly refused her.
Wand
___9½ Inches, Willow, Phoenix Feather, Swishy
Patronus
___A large white gyrfalcon.
Broomstick
___A customized Aurora 3000, with enhanced cushioning charms and reinforced sticking charms.

Home Life
___In her early years, Bea and her brother were brought up as Muggles, knowing nothing of the Magical world. They lived in their cozy little house in Manchester, went to Muggle school, had Muggle friends and used Muggle things. Occasionally a glass would break or something would vanish out of thin air, but it wasn't until her brother received his Hogwart's letter did they find out what they truly were. Her newly acquainted family members were more than willing to help her and her brother learn more of the Magical world. Having a brother helped Bea grow a thick skin and learn a few hexes she probably shouldn't know.

Immediate Family

___Father, Talbot Landon, 46, Pureblood
_____He grew up just outside of Falmouth, Cornwall at the Ladon Estate & Aviary along with his two younger sisters, Amelia and Hailey. As the eldest, he was always expected to take over and expand the family business. However, the Ravenclaw in him sought more. His studies soon lead him to finding about anything and everything of other countries and cultures, both Muggle and Magical. When he decided to travel abroad to further his studies, rather than take over the Aviary, it lead to an estrangement between him and his family that lasted almost a decade. He has never regretted that decision for he would have not met his wife if he had not. Hesitantly though, he decided to reconcile with his family after his two children started showing signs of being Magical as well. He currently works for the Department of International Magical Cooperation.

___Mother, Marcella Landon née Sabangan, 41, Muggle
_____Like many in the Philippines, Marcella grew up in less than ideal conditions. She saw many ailments and sicknesses go untreated due to lack of funds. She vowed to find a way to help and her empathetic and kind nature made her an ideal candidate for the nursing field. After meeting Talbot during his travels in the Philippines, she thought she just made a penpal to help her practice English. After a year long correspondence, the friendship soon turned more intimate and she gladly accepted his proposal to move to England with him. Only after she moved in with him did she find out about his Magical traits. Unfazed however, they were soon married and began their family. She currently works as a nurse in a Muggle hospital in Manchester.

___Brother, Ackley Landon, 20, Half-Blood
_____A Gryffindor during his time at Hogwarts, he lives up to the house's traits. Brave and kind, almost to a fault. He graduated with exceptional N.E.W.T. results and now works for the Beast Division of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. He and Bea share a good relationship and she has since forgiven him for the "accident" in her fourth year. They particularly enjoy racing each other on brooms at their grandparent's estate; he has yet to beat her. He currently lives near the Aviary, since he enjoys helping out in his off time.

Paternal Relatives

___Grandfather, Julian Landon, 68, Pureblood, Owner of Landon Aviary
______Strict when it comes to his son, sons-in-law and grandsons (much to their chagrin) but has a soft spot for the girls and has a habit of spoiling them. Still a bit of animosity between him and Talbot.

___Grandmother, Annabel Landon née Schellden, 65, Pureblood, Housewife
______Gentle and kind, but fair when it comes to discipline. She was extremely elated when her son resumed contact with the family.

___Aunt, Amelia Ackland née Landon, 43, Pureblood, Healer
______Intelligent and compassionate, Amelia works just as diligently at her job as well as her home, raising her three children.
______James (45, Husband, Healer), Lane (19, Son, Chaser for the Falmouth Falcons), Paisley (14, Daughter, Gryffindor) and Kinsey (9, Daughter)

___Aunt, Hailey Eaton née Landon, 39, Pureblood, Winged Horse Breeder
______Free-spirited and spontaneous, she loves life in the air just as much as Bea. She taught her how to ride both brooms and horses.
______Hale (41, Husband, Winged Horse Trainer) and Dax (10, Son)

Maternal Relatives (in the UK)

___Uncle Elmer Sabangan, 38, Muggle, Owner of Mabuhay Market
______Strict father but kind uncle, sneaks Bea and her brother sweets when no one's looking. Never really understood why his sister sent her kids away to school.
______Vivian (35, Wife, Manages Mabuhay Market), Nathaniel (9, Son), Lani (2, Daughter)

___Aunt, Evelyn Cromwell née Sabangan, 26, Muggle, Hair Stylist.
______Life of the party, loves karaoke, her family and good food. Adores Bea's purple hair.
______Nigel (27, Husband, Accountant), Leah (2, Daughter)

Diving Deeper

___When she was younger, her family always said she had her head in the clouds. Little did they know, in her mind, she was. Her eyes always towards the sky, she often thought to be a pilot when she was older. She's certainly intelligent enough but the thought of being confined in a plane was less than appealing. When she finally found out she was a witch at eight, excitement beyond all reason washed over her. She always knew she was different but to find out she can be in the skies was too much. When they first went to Diagon Alley to pick up her brother's supplies, she convinced her father to buy every book on brooms and flying there was. She's accumulated a vast collection of books, trinkets and anything related over the years. Despite her penchant for flying, Quidditch never caught her eye, though her brother and cousin always make her play Seeker in pick up games.

___While she is very much a dreamer, it does not deter her from her responsibilities. She prides herself in being studious and relatively well-mannered, traits instilled by her parents. Though, time away from them has lead her to have some bad habits. Most notably her procrastination and ill-temper when "grounded" for too long. If one knows her well enough, they're aware of her near daily flights with her owl, Ragnar. She excels well in her classes, her favorites being Charms and Care of Magical Creatures. Fairly kind and pleasant to most anyone, she seems only fierce to those who are blatantly idiotic or ignorant. She keeps her tongue in check though when need be. Overall, she's fairly introverted, preferring to spend her off time with a good book, floating somewhere with her owl.

___During her summers, she spends time at her grandparents' estate helping take care of the overwhelming amount of magical and non-magical birds they breed. In the past few years, her grandfather has taught her about falconry, to which she quickly caught on. It was, however, surprising to her considering he prefers to do it the Muggle way. Learning recently how to ride winged horses, a new favorite pastime of hers, she hopes to acquire a beautiful Granian named Fremont from her aunt after graduation. On her holidays, she spends a lot of time with her Muggle family, thought at times it's hard not to tell them of their abilities. She loves them regardless and enjoys the time spent with them, especially since they cater to her bottomless stomach. As her final year at Hogwarts nears, she has yet to decide if she will join her brother at the Ministry or join in the family businesses. All she hopes for is to stay afloat in all facets of life.

___Likes :: Flying, Shopping, Reading, Snacks, Foreign TV Shows, Sleeping, Cute Things, Birds

___Dislikes :: Not Flying, Idiocy, Clutter, Tardiness, Karaoke, Strawberries, Arithmancy, Swimming

RP Samples

Sample #1:

She couldn't remember the last time she laughed so hard. Clutching her sides as tears streamed down her face, she managed to clumsily grab her pocket mirror that was resting on the table in front of her. Her face shifted into slow, horrified realization. "You're so lucky I'm not in Slytherin, Ackley," she coughed between a fit of giggles, turning back towards her brother.

"Purple suits you," he laughed in response, to which she narrowed her eyes and huffed audibly. Her now violet hair came to rest just below her shoulder blades and her eyes glowed an unnatural shade of lilac. She frowned at her reflection in the small mirror, tracing a piece of hair that fell in front of her eye. "Alright, you've had your fun. Enough's enough," she replied, clearly agitated.

"I, uh.. don't remember how to undo it," she heard her brother mumble and, without much thought, chucked her mirror straight at him. He, however, gracefully caught it and laughed. "That is not funny!" she yelled, appalled by his amusement. The last thing she wanted was to spend the rest of the school year with purple hair. Her mind was reeling with possible solutions: reverse charms, hospital wing, muggle hair dye. All she knew is that she wanted to wipe that smug look off of her brother's face.

"Furnuculus," she incanted, wand aimed at his face, before walking away in search of the charms teacher.

Sample #2:

Her fascination with the sky started when she was six. Laying lazily atop a large, pink blanket spread out on the soft green grass in her backyard, she watched the clouds above her roll by.

Her fascination with the sky started when she was six, she idly remembered. Laying lazily atop a large, pink blanket spread out on the soft green grass in her backyard, she watched the clouds above her roll by as she's done many times before. Now eleven, days away from leaving her childhood home, she wondered if the skies looked different at Hogwarts. She knew that is where she belongs, but why did it have to be so far? Why couldn't she go home like other kids do? Why did it even matter? She heard that once you're a second year you get to have a broomstick on school grounds. That's far more important than her mom's cooking, she argued to herself, but boy was that a hard choice.

She watched another cloud roll by, relishing in the memories of the few times she's been on a broom prior. Her Aunt Hailey was kind enough to take her up on a broom ride after nagging her for a couple hours beforehand. As she wondered what kind of broom she should get, a shadowy figure stood above her, blocking her beautiful clear blue skies. Squinting her eyes, she finally recognized the shape that loomed over.

"Dad?" she inquired, pushing herself up onto her elbows. "Do you need something?" He lowered himself so that he was squatting next to her and shook his head. "Nothing's the matter, dear," he chuckled, "but I thought you might want to see what your Grandpa got you. It's in the kitchen." Instantly, she sprung up as if on fire and raced towards the house, leaving her dazed father behind. As she screeched to a halt in front of a large burgundy bundle, she grabbed the piece of parchment affixed to the top. Making a mental note to read it later, she shimmied the velvety fabric off of a bronze cage.

"NO WAY!" she squealed in delight, scaring her poor present. A beautiful brown and white owl sat atop a perch, looking extremely miffed at the intrusion of light and noise. His large yellow eyes bore into hers for a moment before she ripped open the note and grinned merrily. "Why, hello there, Ragnar. I'm Bea, it's nice to meet you," she said softly as she offered a newly acquired treat towards him. He eyed her suspiciously before slowly accepting it, hooting contentedly a moment later. "I think we'll be good friends," she grinned widely.
