My Life...
this will have many things such as random thoughts, stories, poems and random things that happen throughout the day in it.
"In Search of the Power and the Glory"
this is another poem i wrote my sophomore year. it was an English assignment in which we had to write a poem demonstrating imagery

He runs through the fields with sword in hand
And a heavy shield by his side
Both glisten in the light as the sun rises over the green hills
Farther he runs, into the wilderness
The fields now become dense, green forest
And the light can barely makes its way through the trees
And show upon the ground beneath him
Still, farther, he runs
And he finally comes to a beautiful clearing
There, the dew on the grass shimmers like precious jewels in the light
And the lush, green grass appears soft and somewhat fluffy
Almost like the fur coat of a wolf pup just a few weeks old
Then, he sees it
A huge beast with large wings and bright yellow eyes
Two massive horns rage from its head
And its razor sharp teeth are stained with the blood of its prey
A dragon, king of beasts, lays waiting in the clearing
His scales, red as blood
He is the last survivor of this land
But now his time has come
The man raises his sword and lifts his shield
Then breaks out in a run towards the massive creature
The dragon is caught by surprise
But is quickly disappointed by its adversary
The beast believes he will surely make quick work of this man
But this man is no fool
He is a powerful knight with a sword made of the strongest steel
And the sturdiest sword anyone could make
That was resistant to the white hot flames
Now coming from the dragon's mouth, threatening to scorch his body
He raises his heave shield to block the burning fire
As he does so, he advances forward and slices the dragon's stomach
The mighty beast falls back with a mighty roar of pain and agony
The man moves forward again for another hit
But the dragon is quick and swipes at him with his massive claws
The man ducks and is barely missed by the deadly, flesh ripping talons
He swings and another cry of pain comes from the beast
And it falls, unable to get up again
The man then kneels
And settles his sword into the heart of the last survivor that lies bleeding
Now, it breathes no more

As the man journeys home
He ventures through the Land of the Fallen Ones
This land is filled with the mangled corpses of dragons and villagers alike
Filled with his people
Every now and then, he stops next to a fallen comrade
He gives silent blessings to each one
Then carries on again
Back home, he stands on a hill overlooking the Land of the Fallen Ones
Though the power and the glory had been conquered
The man can feel nothing but sorrow
Sorrow for both his people
And for the once magnificent creatures that had once ruled this land
Now this battle field is illuminated by the setting sun
And it shines deep red as the man looks upon it
Off in the distance
He sees the place where the last survivor had fallen
Fallen by his hand and his alone
The man takes one final look at this spot
And one final glance at the Land of the Fallen Ones
Then he turns and wanders off
In search of the power and the glory
