RPCs and S.o.t.F.'s beastiary
What the title says.
Living in the Ashes (RP setting)
The year is 2079 and the world has been torn apart by war. Earth is a desloate wasteland and the majority of mankind retreated to massive underground cities seven years ago trying to construct the technology to rebuild. Not all of them managed to make it to these bunkers though and many of them didn't want to go. Remaining behind where those left behind and the many scientists whose methods of testing and experimentation were not inside the moral boundaries of society. In the remains of the massive battle ship Goliath which had fallen out of orbit and crashed into the huge city of Valenther (the impact then wiped out 92% of the city's populace and either crippled or destroyed the massive skyscrapers within the city) the few scientists began rounding up what was left of the city's people and all the refugees who had fled here not knowing what had become of the large city. A minority of them were hired as guards who were then heavily armed with the weapons mankind used in war. These guards were treated fairly well and fed three meals a day and housed in the troops quarters of the battleship as only the far right half of the ship and the far front of the ship were damaged beyond repair. Those who had skills with machines were sent off as engineers forced to work harder than ever before yet constantly reminded that they were getting fairly good treatment compared to the experiments. These engineers were given two meals a day and lived in a large and empty cargo storage room. They were given one sleeping bag and a small flashlight each as supplies to sleep with. Those who were very well educated in the case of computers were sent to the ship's enormous bridge where they would do everything from monitoring the experiments to monitoring the ship's stability and overall status and many other tasks. These techies were possibly the most well treated members of the crew. They were given three meals a day and each were given their own room (unlike the guards who slept in the barracks) which was fairly decent. In order to keep them loyal the maniacal scientists treated them with some respect. Lastly there were the experiments, those who did not possess the skills for any of the other jobs, or if they did yet were too rebellious or headstrong for that position. There was also The Punished, those who had a position but were caught conspiring against the scientists, slacking off constantly, or disobeying a command and became Experiments as a punishment. The Experiments had a 40% survival rate and those who did survive were horribly mutated mentally, physically, or both.
This is a story of survival, fear, and cruelty.
