HISTORY
The individual by the code name “PLASMA SNAKE” (Snake) is the fourth and final known clone produced from the genetic material of the internationally recognized mercenary “BIG BOSS”. Born sometime in late 1982, Snake was conceived through the machinations of Colombia’s foremost paramilitary terrorist group, the FARC, in order to combat government forces and over through the established government. Raised and trained by the guerilla fighters, Snake’s combat prowess earned him dubious fame among guerilla and opposition alike during the late 1990s and early to mid 2000s. He was last documented as leaving the FARC for reasons unknown. No official contact has been documented since, though subject is believed to be alive.
A. Inception
Throughout the 1970s, the legendary mercenary Big Boss (aka Naked Snake), created a name for himself in the Central and South Americas, participating in several high stake missions which helped shape the political landscape of the regions for decades to come. It was during one of his final missions in South America that a plan was carried out by Colombia’s most dangerous terrorist organization, The FARC, to utilize his combat abilities for their own ends. Big Boss was captured by the FARC, who promptly escaped their grasp. The goal however had been to obtain samples of his blood and hair. Being well connected and well funded, the FARC had ears in the international spy community, which had years earlier been full of hearsay about a project to clone Big Boss. Now the FARC’s aim was to do the same.
They spent nearly two years on failed attempts to produce their own clone, until their efforts caught the attention of a female scientist named CLARK. Unbeknownst to them, Dr. Clark (aka PARAMEDIC) had been the one to originally create the first sons of Big Boss ten years prior. Through her connections as a member of the group the Patriots, she approached the FARC and offered her services to help them achieve their goal. Having told them she believed in their goals, in truth Clark sought a second chance to improve on her earlier work, and to eventually claim this clone as her own, in part due to the admiration she felt for the legendary soldier. Soon after, the child, code named Plasma Snake by Clark was born in latter 1982.
B. Early Years
Intermittently throughout Snake’s early years, Clark and other high ranking female members of the FARC raised him till he began training at the age of 6. It was then that the FARC leaders attempted to have the doctor killed, and claim the clone for themselves. Although she escaped, the child was taken into hiding and continued to be trained in combat, guerilla tactics, history and other peripheral topics. Snake was also made aware at an early age of the nature of his birth and connection to the man dubbed the greatest soldier of the 20th Century.
Snake participated in his first combat engagements at age 11, wanting to be observed to confirm whether or not his skills appeared to be worthy of Big Boss’ legacy. His superiors were not disappointed and continued to train and deploy him in several operations all throughout his teenage years. He became known throughout the entire region as “SERPIENTE”, Spanish for snake, although those who knew him still addressed him as Plasma Snake, or simply Snake, as he knew it was the only connection he had to his past.
Having earned a fierce reputation, Snake would continue to work among the high ranks of the FARC and its allies all throughout the rest of the 1990s and early 2000s.
C. Departure from the Guerillas
Approximately in late 2003, Dr. Clark, who had continued her long association with the Patriots to further her research into the evolution of participants in combat, came across solid Intel as to the location of Plasma Snake. Again keeping the other members of the Patriots in the dark, she traveled to South America and utilized a third party to make contact with Snake and arrange a meeting. After 15 years, Snake met with her in Nicaragua, and was able to inform her of his life as a guerilla. Unhappy that Snake’s potential was being wasted by ‘savages’, Clark provided Snake with a way to communicate with her, stating she want to offer him much more. Snake accepted, having fond memories of the woman, almost as a mother figure and returned to Colombia to await further news.
Months later however, he lost contact with Clark. Initially Snake did very little, but as time grew, and his performance in the field began to suffer, he abandoned the FARC (but not before stealing several thousand dollars, which he could argue he’d earned over the years) and made his way to the USA, where he knew Clark to be. In 2004 he discovered her murder, apparently in some kind of lab accident. Unwilling to accept the news to be true, Snake began operating in several underground networks in the US under the name “PLASMA”, creating connections which would lead him to eventually uncover her connection to the special forces group FOXHOUND. Continuing his investigating, eventually Plasma discovered in 2006 the existence of his older brothers, Solid and Liquid.
