Personality: Keres is clever and she knows it. Arrogant? Quite possibly. But she knows how to take care of herself and isn’t afraid of anything. Her sexual preference is women because, hey, they’re prettier to look as but that certainly won’t stop her from sleeping with a guy to gain control and power over him… despite that, she’s not a nymphomaniac. Sure, sex is fun but… power is so much more fun.
Back Story: Keres’ father was a drug dealer known as Hare and everyone who knew why died a long time ago. He was a very clever man, too clever by far for himself and often struggled against the Powers that made his city spin. After one too many insubordinations from him, the Powers made sure that he lost everything. Not particularly perturbed, Hare turned to dealing drugs, specifically Zydrate the downer hallucinogen that many doctors used as anesthesia. Not long after he lost everything he gained a daughter through a Zydrate addicted prostitute called Wonderland. Knowing that the woman could barely take care of herself let alone a kid, Hare took his daughter and named her Keres. He taught her everything he knew and kept a steady home for her to grow up in. Because she was raised with only her father and discouraged from making friends with the gang-kids that were in her neighborhood Keres became antisocial. But she was happy with her father… which was why his sudden death hit her so hard. She was taken from her no-longer-happy home by Social Services and got a good eyeful of her father’s brains scattered over a brick wall. A drug bust gone bad, the police told her. Wonderland, a woman actually named Alice Mercer, had cleaned up, she took charge of Keres and they lived happily ever after with Alice’s wealthy parents… that was the theory anyway. Keres, rebellious after a lifetime of being taught to question all authority figures, ran away numerous times and fought her mother and grandparents for every inch of freedom she could get. Finally, exhausted by their troublesome granddaughter the two wealthy old farts sent Keres to Meeki's School for Troubled Teens.
