I was swimming near the beach one day when I saw a strange creature lying on the sand. I got closer to get a better look. He seemed like a sea puppy, but to my surprise, he didn't have any flipper paws! There was something different abut him but I couldn't tell what exactly. Plus, his fur was all dried so I thought maybe he was dehydrated.
Instantly, I tried to pull him back into the water with me to save him, but as soon as I started pulling him, he opened his his eyes and started yelling, "hey guys! over here! I got one!" Then he put his arms around me and tried to drag me out of the water. I twisted and wiggled to try to get away, but my flipper paws were no match for his strange paws. I was really scared because all his buddies were running towards me and I had never seen these creatures before in my life. They ran on land!! These were land puppies!
For some reason, the land puppy that was holding me, took pity on me and helped me hide away in a watery cave before the others arrived. Once there, the land puppy apologized for trying to catch me. I was mad at him because I tried to save him and instead he turned me over to his buddies, but I forgave him eventually because he did helped me in the end and seemed genuinely sorry. Also, curiosity overcame both of us as neither of us had ever seen each other's kind before.
"Are you a land puppy? I've heard of your kind. I thought you were only myths; after all, what puppy could possibly live outside the sea?" I asked excitedly.
"Of course I'm a land puppy. What are you? I've never seen anything like you before" he asked as he started playing with my flipper paws.
"I'm a sea puppy! What, you've never seen flippers paws before? Here, I'll show you."
And as we learned all about land puppy and sea puppy differences, we became very good friends.
