Well, this is a new story I'm going to be writing called "Sacred Hearts"
I don't want to give away too much, but some of you have already read some of the Prologue, but most of you haven't.
XDD
Anywho, lemme introduce, Sacred Hearts!

Prologue: Before there were Hearts
Of course she remembered that day. How could she not? It was the day she had Received, when the Legacy struck her instead of her brother. The first day that she had actually seen the world, and the last day she was normal.
She was eight, her birthday being the night before. Her grandmother, Grammy Somers, was visiting and she remembered the fateful words she spoke that sent her life spinning.
“Your eyes are just like your father's.” She said in her age-stricken voice. She smiled a crooked denture filled smile, her white hair bouncing as she chuckled.
Though it didn't mean much to her then, her parents had exchanged a glance with several emotions mixed into one: shock, worry, fear. Her grandmother had leaned over and whispered in her ear, “It's too nice of a Sunday afternoon to waste. Go outside and play.”
She was shooed off her grandmother's lap and into the backyard, the gentle October wind carrying warm autumn smells to her little nose. Fluttering gently on the wind was a small, white butterfly. To her child eyes, it had been the most beautiful pearly white color she had ever seen. It floated in small, low circles and she made a beeline towards it.
The butterfly barely put up a fight, practically flying into her small hands. She had laughed with glee, and the butterfly seemed to pulse with color. Dashing through the clean-cut grass, she had jumped through the still-open door. Her parents had been so intent on their conversation, the hadn't noticed her at first.
“...why would it skip Kail though? He should have been the rightful heir!” Her father had said, shaking his head.
“So why her then, Vash?” her mother asked, holding his hand. She had begun to speak again, but she noticed her daughter run into the house. “What do you have there, Honey?”
“Look at the pretty butterfly!” she had said happily, releasing the butterfly into the house. It rose a few inches into the air, before floating down to perch on her nose.
Her short laugh had turned to a scream as colors blinded her vision. She remembered falling to the ground, three distinct color figures standing over her.
