The strange things I feel like writing!
The Demented Crow

Under the cover of the burning and unforgiving noon-day sun was the Tree of Leaves. Beneath the leaves of the mighty tree, the Demented Crow waited for his mortal enemy. The Hawk of death.

Abruptly, the bright sunlight shone down upon a shiny, silvery object making the Demented crow leave his perch to investigate the foreign object. As the crow descended cautiously toward the thing, the Hawk of Death appeared from behind the tree of leaves. Spiraling upward into the endless great blue yonder, he prepared for the killing blow. The Demented Crow was the last bird in the town of bird, because the crow had always survived for some demented reason, thus earning his name.

Meanwhile the crow discovered the shiny object to be a small scrap of tin foil. It looked so delicious, sparkling like a fallen star from heaven in the relentless sunlight, that the crow couldn’t comprehend leaving it to wander alone and aimlessly around the world. Abruptly and without hesitation, the crow gobbled up the tin foil. But before the life could be savored, the hawk struck the crow from behind, knocking a small roundish object from the crow’s beak. The crow was now mercilessly slaughtered, but the object that had shot from the crow’s beak wanted revenge. Revenge for the being that had transformed him from a lowly piece of tin foil to an honorable counterfeit nickel.

An epic battle ensued between the nickel and the hawk as a pebble, the former tin foil’s best friend watched on in horror as the two enemies slashed deep gashes in each other’s bodies with their razor sharp claws and teeth. The battle continued for two days and two nights until finally the hawk snatched up the on looking pebble and struck the killing blow to the nickel. Without realizing it, the hawk had also killed the pebble, but the hawk had no time to resent or celebrate it. The Hawk of Death fainted due to a wound on the back of his head finally taking affect. Much later the hawk died of immense blood loss.

Everyone was now dead in the town of birds.
