Lost in a mako dream
War
Why do i always get stuck in the middle of WWIII. My parents are constantly screaming. Fighting and bringing me into it. Words are like plates crashing against the wall. Every time the fight begins they get louder and louder. They fight over me, telling each other that i say tihngs that I never said. Now they fight over custody of me once they get a divorce. My headache grows every day because of them. I dont want to live with either of them. They both have lost my trust and respect. Im tired of them acting like the children. Through my whole life i've had to raise myself and my mother, now she turns around and starts acting like a mom. Who does she think she is doing that? She has done nothing for me in the first 14 years of my life. Now she thinks she can rule me. at school and in front of friend, i try so hard to stay happy, to make them happy. I cant cry...i want to...but i cant. My mother is trying to buy back my trust in her. She thnk's it'll work. My step dad talks to me like he didnt go and stab me in the back, the lying b*****d. he think's he's always right, he wont admit that he's wrong. He drinks. My mom's only been sober for a month. I just want to go, leave, get rid of them. I hate living ere. The house is always cold, our sewer is ******** broken, there are bugs everywhere, fleas, flys, gnats, ants...it's sick. There are two stupid dogs next door that was shut up. Our fence in the abck yard is ripped down, there's no privicy.

"I promised I'd live for your sake...I don't think I'm doing so well..."

Unfortunately, this is often the nature of divorce. When my parents split up, though not quite as messy as that, there was large amounts of friction which was often transferred to the children involved. Things will not be as they were again. Ever. I cannot stress that point more.

However, this is not entirely a bad thing. Divorce is a gaint adjustment period. Things will, eventually, settle down into a new norm. The decision you have to make is, how much influence do you want over that norm? If you distance yourself from your parents/step-parents during this time, then the norm will settle down without you, and you will then have to adjust later on. On the other hand, you can play an active role. Try to help out as best you can, be more accepting of the situation. Yes, you may be living in horrible conditions now and it is hard for you, but it is equally, if not harder for your parents right now as well. Show strength of character and try to push past those blocks. The norm should then settle with you playing a larger role, and therefore more likely setting to a norm you are more comfortable in.

Whichever of the two you pick, you have to follow through with. If you swap half-way, then you just cause more confusion. Also, don't do anything rash, like run away, commit suicide etc. It's just selfish to do so and, again, you'll only make matters worse for yourself. I know all this is easier said than done, but you're not the first, and certainly not the last to go through it. I wish you the best of luck through this period.

I'm sorry, Aka. If it gets to be too much to handle, you know you're always welcome to come here..
My parents used to do that all the time, so I understand how heart-wrenching it is to listen to it when you're being dragged right in the middle of it.
So take care of your sanity and your heart, and if you need it just come right on over, pillow and all, we're here for you.

Awww, listen dear... If I were able, I would gladly and swiftly help you figure something out. Too sad, I know you realize that something like that is just a dream right now. Ah, speaking like that....I was reading Hamlet, that's why. It mixes my speech up so that no one but myself can understand me. Careen...careen..... There is a questions, which person has more money? Which person lives close to more of your friends? Which person has more relazed rules? That sort of thing. That's why I stay with my dad. I would rather go live with my mom if only because all my favorite highschool girls are down there, and the schools have far less work. But she's extremely poor and doesn't have a computer, and every week I come back my room is always trashed from my little sister digging through my crap. Who knows what she wants. Porn, probably. She tries to make a habit out of looking for porn on the sides of roads. And then she hides them in MY STUFF. Along with her razors and lighters and ciggarettes. That b***h. And she's always playing that rap music. And just on Sunday, she was baking a cake, (a normal cake) and she walked off to her friend's house, and then came back an hour later to ice the cake, (I had taken it out of the oven and saved it from burning because my brother wanted to eat it and he had let me play on his SP so I felt like being nice) and then she had to run back to her frined's house because she was making noodles over there, on their stove. Yeah, go ahead and cook in someone else's house with only a couple of kids 10 and younger. Their mom doesn't even know if poeple are over there, most of the time! That was a total rant. Sorry. I suppose my point is that vent out your emotions, find someone to love, adopt children and feed them to pigs, and generally live an okay life involving reading lots of doujinshi. http://dragonfly.raygungeisha.com/proj-ff.html and there's more FF doujinshi for you. They have Death Note, too. Hee. I doodled on my hand during english and spanish and history: "Light + Raito Death Note ~Sweet & Bitter~"
