My grandma told me today that my father Steve liked to skateboard. (For those of you who don't know, my father killed himself when I was 5, so I don't remember much about him.) This subject came up after I spent told her all about my hours spent yesterday trying to learn how to skateboard. It makes me wonder if he's teach me if he were still around. Or maybe he was watching me yesterday, from heaven or hell, and laughing with me as I continued to fall on my butt and get beaten up by the stupid piece of wood. My grandpa always says that my brother, Chris, looks exactly like my dad when he was younger. He's always saying that Chris and I are obviously his kids. Chris shares Steve's love for music while I share his taste for boyish activites and drawing. It makes me happy.
