Hello fellow rant enthusiants. I have created a new rant! You guys must be thinking that I just s**t these things out. blaugh However, this one is going to be attacking another fairly large group. No, this time I am not after a group of similar sexual preferance. This time I am attacking the *drum roll* Kai Hiwatari Fan circle! biggrin No, I am not crazy, just ambitious! Now we shall see if I survive the incredible flamage that I recieve. Will this be the end of James?! Stay Tuned.

James' Rants Volume Three
Why Kai Hiwatari is a noob
A Rant by James Tanner

Yes, I guess you could also called this is the 'digging my own grave' rant. But I think, or at least hope that I am prepared with my arguement. But before we start, this rant is more about the misconceptions people make out him, rather than Kai himself.

Point 1: He is greedy
Yes, you heard me. Greedy. He is. In the first series (2000), he has one bitbeast, Dranzer, which is all well and good. However, why did he need Black Dranzer? You would probably say that he wanted more power to become the strongest Beyblader, but correct me if I am wrong, but in the manga series, didn't he say that he wanted to rid the world of Beyblades? Collecting more doesn't sound like destroying them to me.

Point 2: He is whiney
At the end of 2000, he complains about the life he lived inside the abbey, and about having been abandoned by his father (granted that isn't in the anime, but it is in the manga). Now I can accept that it probably quite a s**t life to have, being treated a dog. However, he does make out that he lives the worst life ever, and that no one ever had as bad a childhood as him. Now that may have been the implication that I inferred, but I found that incredibly irritating. Was it just me, or did he fail to take Ray's past into account. Now Ray was left without any parents at a young age. Whether they were killed, or they just abandoned him is unknown, but the result is the same. Now unlike Kai, Ray had to learn how to take care of himself. Even though Kai lived in the abbey, he was still taken care of, albeit only a little. Still, a little is better than not at all. Also, when Ray left his village, he was classed as an outcast by the village, and he had to prove himself in the Asian tournament. Kai never really had to do that, infact, he joined the damn team he was supposed to prove himself to. (I know that Ray did the same in G-Revolution, but that was after he had proven himself to the White Tigers).

Now whilst Kai did have a shitty childhood, he does exagerrate it. Also, He doesn't take into account the good life he leads during the series, with having supportive friends. Ray however does, and cherises it and uses the support as strength.

Now I think I need to into the greatest misconceptions people have about Kai, namely this one.

"Kai barely talks to anyone, because he think that they aren't worth talking to."

No. Just No. That is just so wrong it's not even normal. Tell me, why would he think that? Even though he is a very knowledgable competitor, he does accept advice from people. The reason he doesn't speak often has nothing to do with what he thinks of them. Infact, the reason he doesn't speak has to do with a flaw in Kai's personality.

The reason he doesn't talk very much is because he doesn't know how to. Think about it, if you lived the first ten years of your life in an abbey where almost all forms of communication where forbidden, you wouldn't exactly know how to have a conversation with someone. If you notice, he does start to talk more, and be more involved with the group in V-Force. So Kai is not some hard to open guy, infact he is alot like the rest of the team, just socially challenged.

There we go. Thanks for reading all of that, if you did. Also, please don't flame me for this, because I spent alot of time on this, and I would hate to get a Moderator involved.
