My birth mother's birthday was the 16th of October, sadly I didn't get to see her. At all... but that's really no surprise. She doesn't come around on my birthday either. So all I could really do was send her a text. I sometimes wonder if others have these types of family relationships with their parents. Oddly enough it's been this way for as long as I can remember. I suppose when she has passed on I won't attend her funeral either. I've tried multiple times to spend some sort of time with my mother, but she never seems to want to. Surely there are others out there who are abandoned by their parents too, right? So I don't think I should feel upset about our strained situation.
