Role Play Plots!
A list of plots that I've looked to role play and haven't had a chance to... YET!

The Pharaoh's Revival
-----For years, he's sat in storage. Years. Which is sad, since he's an archaeological marvel, a relic that should be in a museum and studied. But he is not in a museum, not studied; he is in the private collection of an English explorer, who found him and secreted him to his home without the knowledge of his fellow archaeologists ages ago. No one knows how the Englishman did it; after all, his treasure was a solid gold sarcophagus, completely sealed and void of all identifying hieroglyphics. It was heavy, it was ostentatious; those involved with the transportation said that the Englishman's acquirement of the artifact was guided by the Gods. Come to find out; it was.
-----Horus, the Egyptian God most strongly aligned with the throne of the pharaoh, is behind the item's transportation. For the device holds the body of a pharaoh... a pharaoh Horus completely intends on reviving in modern times. The old gods have lost their followers and therefore their powers; Horus is one of the few who struggle to maintain their identities despite the lack of offerings and worship. His power, once nearly infinite, is waning; Horus must act. His plan? To bring the Pharaoh to life and secure him a place in power, from which he can assert his role as pharaoh and revive the Egyptian Parthenon. To do this, Horus plans to have the revived Pharaoh marry the daughter of a King and usurp the throne. It's a perfect plan, if only he could revive the Pharaoh. His own power waning, he must seek out a Priest or Priestess to aid in the process. For years Horus searches; for years the Pharaoh sleeps. And then Horus finds her, a girl with the abilities he needs and whom he immediately claims as a Priestess of Horus. Delighted, the ancient God arranges for the Pharaoh to fall into her hands.
-----Girl A and Girl B are friends, best friends. They have been for ages. Girl A's great grandfather is the Englishman and, upon his death, he inexplicably leaves his house and all of its contents to Girl A. A little disturbed, Girl A takes Girl B on a trip to see the property she has inherited. While exploring, the girls happen upon the golden coffin, and as Girl A touches it, Horus possesses his Priestess and revives the Pharaoh. Chaos ensues. The Pharaoh awakens understandably confused, having never been informed of the details of the plan of which he was a part... particularly bad when he wakes to find himself surrounded by two equally confused modern girls. Horus is forced to make an appearance and explain things, giving Girls A and B a task: to teach the Pharaoh modern ways so as best to aid in Horus' plan. The Pharaoh is eager to restore the rule of the Pharaohs and of their Gods, and approaches the task before him with the enthusiastic nativity of someone that doesn't know anything about the modern world. But the task of educating him is more difficult for the two girls then Horus thinks. Especially when he spends large portions of time speaking to Girl A in her mind and appearing to her at all times of the day and night. As for Girl B, who has been spending the most time with the Pharaoh to try and alleviate the stress on Girl A, she has been rapidly falling in love with the man who's naivety is a refreshing change from the bad men she has been involved with. Girl B's presence stands as an obstacle to Horus' plans, an obstacle that must be removed.

Possible Plot Points:
- Does Horus decide that Girl B is an obstacle that can only be dealt with by murder?
- If so, is that a task he allots to his priestess, Girl A?
- Does the pharaoh accept his fate entirely, or attempt to delve back into his place among the dead?
- Does the pharaoh adapt to the modern world, or do his plans to rule it change?
- Should they change, is the pharaoh capable of defying Horus?
- Are the modern girls physically or emotionally capable of enduring this responsibility?
- Where are the rest of the Egyptian gods? Are they capable/willing to interfere? Do they want to?

Notes:
I feel like there is a lot of wiggle room in this plot; not only to warp the Egyptian mythos to our liking, but to include a lot of comedy and drama. For example, Horus' plan to have the pharaoh marry a princess that will let him rule the world... do YOU know of any such princess? XD I sort of like the idea of the gods in this plot being out of the modern loop, like the old uncle that still makes 70's references because he never got a tv. I just want to play up the idea that working for the ancient gods must have been annoying as hell. As for the modern girls? I have no clear picture of them; they can be anyone, or anything.

I would like to play... Really, I could play any of the aforementioned characters.

The Gods are Douchebags
Plot:
-----Really, it's a shame; the world is so beautiful, so intricate, and yet these mortals do not appreciate it as they should. They hurry along in their lives, oblivious and ignorant to the great powers that brought all that they know and all that they are into being. They are thankless. That cannot be allowed to continue.
-----This is the reasoning of the gods, long forgotten and long neglected. They miss the days when their powers were at their height; they miss the days of sacrifice and ardent worship. They are but a footnote now and, really, as centuries pass, they're getting rather bitter about it. A council convenes on Mount Olympus, and a decision is made: the memorandum that had curbed the gods interaction with mortals has been lifted, and the immortals are free to play among the humans once again. The goal? To find their favorites among the masses that have bred into being since last they walked on Earth, covet and empower them, and, through their excellence, prove the continued relevance of the gods. After all, what insures worship more securely than fear of destruction?

Possible Plot Points:
- How the gods choose their mortals.
- How un/enthusiastic these mortals are about being chosen.
- How the jerk behaviors acceptable in Greek hayday are accepted in modern times.

Notes:
The Greek gods are absolute assholes; if you've read anything past Homer, you know this to be true. There's lots of lyin', dyin', and a whole lotta rapin' going on. Especially towards females; in Ovidian myth, for example, they're getting run down and victimized in almost every myth. So, in a modern setting, where women have, you know, rights, I would like to see how badly the gods can fail at converting the populace with their old school... 'methods'. Absolutely any of the gods would be good for this rp; I don't want to limit any of the planning by choosing one before I even have a partner for the plot. XD Ideally, we would have a handful of gods and goddesses struggling to convert their chosen mortals into their acolytes, with different results and problems arising because of it. I would love a lot of comedy and drama in this one, and there's so much wiggle room that we'll probably have to limit it down. Let's talk it out!
** Rape and dealing with the consequences are a potential element of this rp and a rare deviation from my usual standards. Please, let's find a way to handle it tastefully.

I would like to play... I have no idea; I just love this set up. Come to me with your god cravings, and I'll probably play him. I have a list of favorites; whoever makes the most sense with our plotting, I'll play!

Listen to them HOWL
Plot:
-----Okay, just hear me out on this.
-----It all takes place in a little town on the edge of a hauntingly beautiful forest, just as all of these sorts of tales tend to. It's a quiet little place, generally prosperous and relatively safe all thanks to a group of warriors known as the Riders. They are elites who spend their whole lives fighting off the nefarious things that creep about in the woods. Mostly they deal with bears, wild wolves, and highwaymen, but rumors say that they're also responsible for the eradication of the bogeymen and monsters of legend that are just itching to break free of the magical barrier that keeps them trapped in the Woods. Upon their coming of age, all young men are tested for their eligibility to join the Riders' ranks, and if they are deemed acceptable they are sent into training. Red is one of those who have been accepted into the Rider's ranks and has just completed his training; he's received the red cloak that stands as a uniform, passed all of his tests, and is just itching to get out on a real monster-hunting quest. Much to his dismay his first mission is to go on patrol in his village home, a task he feels is menial and demeaning. The boy is restless and unable to focus; he wants a challenge.
-----Turns out that Red's home boarders a deep woods, one so notorious in the past for its dangerous monsters that it was sealed off with a magical barrier. Trapped within the magical confines of the forest barrier is a great She-Wolf. She is a shape-shifter and, for reasons widely known throughout the monster community, she is without a pack due to a failed attempt to overthrow the vastly superior Alpha in the pack she was born to. Banished and alone, there is nothing the She-Wolf wants to do more then to leave the woods and establish her own pack somewhere else... but the magical barrier prevents her from doing so. Her frustration has made her murderous, and she has taken to slaughtering any and all from the little village just outside the barrier.
-----Then, there's the Sorceress. The Sorceress is extremely powerful; in fact, she's one of the most powerful entities around. She can preform all sorts of magic spells and could command armies if she were free. But she isn't. She is trapped within the confines of the magical barrier, a barrier raised to hold her and others like her within cast by the Sorceress' own sister. That sting of betrayal was so strong that it rallied the Sorceress to break her sister's spell and free herself if it took her dying breath. But the power was too strong to attack head-on; she needed a crafty plan. This plan came to her in the form of a human eccentric: an elderly woman who's home had been built for her by her husband within the Woods long before the barrier was raised. The old woman, Red's Grandmother, refused to leave her home, which was imbued with protections to keep all but the strongest of monsters at bay, and served as the only living link to the human village. Well, living until the Sorceress killes the Grandmother, disguising herself as the old woman to trick Red. The sorceress has discovered an ancient spell that she believes will break through the barrier... it only requires the still-beating heart from a sacrificial human lamb.
-----There's one more character to introduce in this tale: the Woodsman. He's Red's childhood friend, but he's a strangely ambiguous character. He was never given the Riders test but still disappeared from the village during the time of training. He seems to have no family and few friends, and yet is on generally good speaking terms with everyone, human and those confined within the Woods. He has some sort of extra power, like clairvoyance, that has allowed him to know that the Grandmother has been killed, her identity stolen by the Sorceress, and that Red's slated for the aforementioned sacrificial lambing. Not at all a fan of the idea, the Woodsman decides that he is going to face off against the Sorceress directly and kill her. Normally, such a task would be up to the Riders, but the Woodsman happens to know that there is a traitor among them under the spell of/in love with/sympathetic to the Sorceress who will skew the group's efforts in her favor. The way he sees it, the Woodsman is the only one who can properly kill her.

Possible Plot Points:
- The meeting of Red and the Wolf
- The inevitable clash when Red realizes that the Woodsman is trying to kill 'Grandma'
- The spy within the Riders, and what his/her motivation could be.
- The Sorceress using the She-Wolf as some sort of tool to chase Red into her trap.
- Red tricking the She-Wolf into some sort of magical servitude.
- The Sorceress finding out the Woodsman has some sort of link to her sister.

Notes:
Hmm... this is mostly characters. The plot could go so many different ways; there's so much more that could happen than I included in just the plot points. I am just in love with the set up for this one; if you are too, we can pick and choose to make this plot go wherever we want it to go. <3

I would like to play... I have inspiration for all of these main characters, but I'm slightly more partial to playing Red and the Sorceress. Slightly. Very slightly. Let's talk about it. XD

Stay far Away from the Candy House
Plot:
-----After a rather temporary bout of homicidal rage, young Hansel and Gretel found that their story had taken a rather alarming turn. They had started off the heroes; abandoned in the woods by their parents, kept for years imprisoned by a witch, and slotted as meals the moment the witch decided that time, diet, and seasonings had aligned to make them taste best. The pity party practically writes itself, right? But then Gretel's mind slipped away and she murdered the witch, murdered her for her younger brother's sake. She thought she'd be a hero, he thought they'd be pitied and taken in; neither of them were prepared for the furious backlash their actions got them. In the eyes of the media, the two had murdered a helpless old woman; so what if she had been a deranged cannibal? What right did the two of them have to kill her; after all, she was a witch, a creature ranked at the top of the endangered species list! Demonized and shunned from the human community, Hansel and Gretel were distraught to find that the only home they had to return to was the Witch's Cottage which had served as their prison for so long.
-----Trauma, neglect, and scorn do strange things to people, and in the face of these things the siblings' hearts grew hard. It was all the witch's fault that they were in this situation! They needed some purpose to keep them from falling into despair, and they settled on it quickly: the two trained themselves, studied the witch's abandoned spell books to learn their ways, learned how best to use weapons against them, all in effort to eradicate the witch species completely. Hansel and Gretel became Witch Hunters. A public abomination; the two set themselves to hunt down and destroy all of witchkind, a notion made notably less ludicrous when they proved themselves to be extremely skilled and up to the task. The siblings become such a problem that a bounty is put on their heads: wanted, dead or alive.
-----Scores of humans and witches tried for that prize, a prize that only grew in number as their bodies were added to the count. Countless are lost until it comes down to two magic users that think they have a shot of taking down the Witch Hunters. The first is an unlikely candidate for such a task; she is young and, as far as witches go, vastly inexperienced. Though she is from a long line of witches and wizards she is still struggling to find her own way to magic. Her elder brother, a savant with a spell, was one of the many that went after Hansel and Gretel, and one of many that were slaughtered. Her brother was her world and, blinded by heartache, she is now determined to avenge him and bring the siblings down. The second is a sorcerer, far more powerful then most of the witches and wizards that run around these days. He is cold, distant, detached, and completely confident in his abilities; people fear and respect him, and that's all he's ever really wanted. But fear and respect get boring after a while, and the sorcerer is indeed growing very bored -- until he hears about Hansel and Gretel, the famed Witch Hunters. He knows a challenge when he hears one. Now he has a new goal, to be the one that brings down the Witch Hunters, come hell or high water.

Possible Plot Points:
- Whether the witch and sorcerer are teamed up or not. I'm inclined to find a way to make them work together, honestly, but there's arguments for both.
- Witch playing around with transformation, perhaps a deer, and almost getting eaten by the siblings? (Can anyone say irony?)
- The Sorcerer bewitching one of the siblings to turn on the other.
- Hansel's heart being softened by the witch while Gretel remains murderous; how would they react? How would they accept those that hunt them?
- In the event some sort of truce is settled on between the four, how do they interact with a vastly disapproving public?

Notes:
This could go so many ways, because it's another one I have infinite amounts of ideas for. It mostly depends on the tone you'd like the rp to take on; if you want it to be very dark, that can be done, and if you want it to be somewhat adorable, there's room for that too. I'd really like if this one was either modern or futuristic.

I would like to play... Hansel and Gretel; I sort of have them already planned in my head. However, this is not an end-all; get me excited and talking plot, and this can change. XD

Immersed
Genre: Modern Fantasy; Generic Fairy Tales
Pairing(s): Modern characters/Fairy Tale tropes
Plot:
-----You know, there's just something about a book titled Do Not Read that just sends temptation flaring. Such a book somehow managed to catch her attention and, in desperation, she brought it out as a means of inciting conversation. She's new to town and new to the school, desperate to fit in with the cool crowd. They're not nearly as eager, but when the new girl invites them to a party, they decide to play along. The party's a bust, since the new girl lives over an old bookstore run by her father. They're not impressed and they're ready to leave; in desperation the new girl opens the book, trying to make a joke about what would happen in a horror movie with the same scenario. Fate being what it is, things do turn into a sort of horror movie; the new girl and her new 'friends' are all sucked inside the book. Disoriented and alarmed, the group must interact with the fairy tale characters and find a way to escape the book's magical clutches... or risk being stuck inside forever!

Notes:
This plot is very, very broad; I could see it becoming a great basis for a group role play if any of you out there are of a mind to help me structure it a bit more. It could easily be a 1x1 as well, with the new girl trying to impress the popular girl at school/the influential jock/the class valedictorian/whoever to be friends with her. I think it would be really cool for friendship to blossom between the characters outside the book, and I think it would be equally cool if romantic relationships blossomed between the real people and the fairy tale people. I would love if the question 'What is real, really?' were somehow explored in this sort of role play. The book's characters within could be well known tropes, such as the Wicked Witch, the Handsome Prince, the Idiot Hero, etc. Really, there's tons to work with here. ^_^

I would like to play... The Handsome Prince trope. Oh my god, you have no idea. He'll be ridiculous. And I'm more inclined to play one of the already established girls at the school.

Hearts that ROAR
Genre: Fantasy, Mythical Creatures x Beast Masters
Pairing(s): Mythical Battle Creatures x Their Masters, or Rivals x Rivals... depending
Plot:
-----You know the class: humans who use secret arts to command fantastic beasts to battle on their behalf. Whether it be through magic, hypnosis, or contracts, these teams are a formidable force on the battle field. Modern, futuristic, or in the past; no matter what the time, the following premise would be true:
-----Humanity as a whole is a warrior race; there will never be world peace. For this world, battles are waged not by nations or factions, but by individuals in the fight to prove themselves the most powerful. And these fights are the Beast Battles. Beast master against Beast Master; the winner is able to collect jewels from the defeated. These jewels are the symbols of absolute power; collect enough of them, and the Beast you command will become the most powerful entity known to mankind. This is presented by the propaganda machine as a good thing: only once a Beast Master to end all Beast Masters is crowned will there be peace. Whether this is true or not will depend entirely on who obtains this power; regardless, there is a massive push to be the best of the best. Each human has mastery over a single Beast; the strength of the Beast depends entirely on the strength of the relationship between Beast and Beast Master. Deepen the relationship, deepen the power available; only the closest of partnerships can ever hope to rise from the masses and achieve that ultimate goal.
-----With such high stakes, of course rivalries will form, partnerships too; dreams will be formed and crushed with every battle. Who will rise to the top, and what will their intentions be once they get there? Ehh... I dunno.

Possible Plot Points:
- How the Beasts & Beast Masters are paired... is is a voluntary thing? Are they paired at birth, like some sort of destiny call? Do the Beasts appear after the Beast Master completes some sort of summoning spell? Are they captured and enslaved, a la Pokemon? Is it some sort of blood bond, like a Beast Master can summon and strengthen a Beast for their own personal glory... at the expense of their life years, or something equally important? We'd need to figure that out...
- Clashes with rivals... maybe the two main pairings can be rivals?
- Making allies
- Theft of these valuable jewels
- Evolution of the Beasts, again like Pokemon?
- Where these Beasts come from anyway... parallel world? Land of magic? They've always lived among us?
- And what is that ultimate power, anyway?

Notes:
This could be in any time period, but I feel like it could be really cool to play it in the future. *3* Just for something a little unusual for the genre. Also, while I do really like this idea for romance, this could also be really cool as a platonic role play. I love the idea of the Beasts having a human form, especially if we chose for the how's of the pairing to be either Captured and Enslaved or Blood bound/contract of some sort... just for the awesome contrast. Pairings are so vast for this... we can talk about it; rival x rival, team mate love, Beast x Beast Master... so, so much.

I would like to play... A Beast and a Beast Master, obviously! No, seriously; because there is just so much wiggle room in this idea, I'm open to just about everything.

Dream a Little Longer
Genre: Fantasy
Pairing(s): Sandman x Human Girl & Tooth Fairy x Human Male
Plot:
-----We, as a culture, have become rather jaded; all of our mysteries can be explained away by science and by reason. And yet myth and magic stay in our culture, in the entertainment we choose and the stories we tell our children. Two stories are particularly popular: the Tooth Fairy, a beautiful fairy that leaves money or treats in exchange for a tooth, and the Sandman, the benevolent bringer of sleep who soothes mortals. Why do they continue to be so prevalent? Why, because they are real entities, of course!
-----At least, that is what Human Girl believes, and no teacher, parent, or psychiatrist can convince her otherwise. Hunting supernatural creatures is not just her hobby, its her life. She alienates almost everyone with her eccentricities, everyone but the Human Male. He cares about her... and, though he'd never admit it, he is a hunter of the supernatural, and therefore shares the Human Girl's interests. Of course, his family focuses on the more substantial threats, such as vampires and werewolves, not strange ethereal phantoms. Still, the two hit it off, and spend their time talking supernatural with generally the same mind... until the Human Girl starts talking about trapping the fabled Sandman. He thinks she's crazy; she's determined to get him on her side again. So she sets up her trap... and she waits.
-----The trap springs... and Human Girl is baffled. Instead of the benevolent Sandman, there is a strange woman in her trap. It is the Tooth Fairy, a strange collector of human teeth, there to collect the Human Girl's little brother's tooth. Well, she isn't what she was looking for, but the Human Girl is elated. She calls over the Human Male... who flips out. Especially when the Tooth Fairy insists that the Sandman is in love with her, and is going to come to rescue her. But that's not all; she tells them that the Sandman is no benevolent bringer of good dreams, but a sadistic master of nighttime delusions, who's fickle whims determine whether one has dreams or nightmares. The Human Girl takes the bait, and decides the Tooth Fairy will be bait, much to the Human Male's horror. Because he knows that they're playing with fire... and he's right. Because the Sandman is just as the Tooth Fairy said... and he's coming for them. Not because he loves the Tooth Fairy, but just because mortals need to be put in their place every once in a while.

Possible Plot Points
:
- The Human Male's family giving him the abilities to fight the supernatural beings.
- The Sandman taking both Humans to the world of Dreams, a nightmarish or just straight up trippy dream world.
- Maybe Human Male has feelings for Human Girl, which drives him to stick by her side?
- The Tooth Fairy's love being unrequited, and how that effects her job?

Notes:
I really, really, really like this plot. I feel like there's lots of wiggle room to adjust the plot, and to grow the story. I like the idea of changing realms too. I feel like this could have a rather dramatic tone to it too. Gaaaah, let's just talk about it!

I would like to play... anyone, really. ANYONE. But I have a strong mental picture in mind for the Tooth Fairy and the Sandman, so I'm slightly preferring them at the moment. However, I had a clear picture in mind about the humans yesterday, so I'm down to play them too. O3O

So Maaaaaaaaaagical~!
Genre: Fantasy; Magical Girls
Pairing(s): Magical Girls x Normal Mortals/Magical Villains
Plot:
-----Okay, no real defined plot here; I just want a role play with magical girls on a very specific premise. I want their magical girl forms to be mythical creatures. Like normal girl turns into Magical Unicorn Girl! With lots of sparkles and semi-murderous rage.

Possible Plot Points:
- How the magical girls get their powers
- What the villains want.
- Everything, considering how nonexistent my plot is. ^_^;

Notes:
I love the set up for this, and I would love to play around with some magical girl tropes. There's lots of room for romance and such, along with lots of action and a good dose of drama. And humor! I would love for this to have a lot of humor! Humor first, then romance/action. XD And while we could do this with a small number, there's room for lots and lots of characters here. I want to play villains. I want to play a very specific magical girl. Give this to me, and I'll be delighted.

I would like to play... I have a Kelpie magical girl in mind. I want to play her. If I can do that, I'll play just about anyone else. *_*

Heroes & Villains
Background:
The world is full of super powered beings of varying potency; which has led to the age of supers, heroes and villains, vying for power or peace as suits their inclinations. The lines are strongly drawn between good and evil, and the only times those lines are getting crossed are when someone is getting sent to jail or to the morgue.

Or, at least, that's what the general populace thinks... reality, consisting of human beings dealing with human emotions, is considerably more complex. And though it is greatly frowned upon, sometimes the heroes find themselves feeling something a little more for a particular villain, enough to where some call it love. Heroes who fall in love with villains are ostracized among their fellow heroes and by society at large, so there is a push to repress these feelings... or to let them brand a hero as a soon-to-be-villain themselves.

That's why the Villain Sympathizers Anonymous, also known as the VSA, was formed; a secretive group to help heroes come to terms with any 'unacceptable' feelings for their villains and overcome them. They meet in secret and in disguise, which frees them to share and work out their feelings in a group space without judgement. Whether these meetings achieve their supposedly lofty goals or not is up for debate.

Plot
Two Heroes, Hero A & Hero B, meet as disguised members of the VSA and click, becoming friendly as they struggle to deal with their ‘inappropriate’ feelings for the greatest villain the city’s ever seen, Villain A, and the biggest screw up the city’s ever seen, Villain B. Hero A & Hero B then juggle their growing friendship through the VSA, potential rivalry/partnership as their hero personas, and their extremely inadvisable budding romances with Villain A & Villain B.

This would be really character driven and would be up to a LOT of reworking/interpretations, with lots of fun clashes

Hero A has a problem: they've fallen in love with the biggest trouble maker in town, Villain A. It might have started before Hero A became a hero, or Hero A might have witnessed one generous or gracious act out of a thousand villainous ones; however it happened, feelings are starting to bubble. Realizing this is a problem in the making, Hero A nervously attends their fist VSA meeting, at which they meet the world-weary Hero B.

-OR-
Hero A is a new inductee to a hero's organization (similar to Justice League) and eager to prove themselves among their god-like peers. Hero A is looking forward to their first mission... and is a bit disappointed when it turns out to be infuriating a group of potential traitors in the making, the VSA. Hero A's mission: to undercover their identities so they can be exposed. Hero A takes the mission

Hero B is a well known/long acting hero who has defeated many villains... including Villain B, who is as comic book and incompetent a villain as you'll ever meet. But Villain B is also persistent, always coming back with a burning vendetta, taking up more and more of Hero B's valuable time. Hero B is exasperated to find that their concern for Villain B during their constant failed attempts.
