Nothing in this life seems right anymore
people who have been helped
never attempt to repay their debts
only memories are left behind
for one's heart and soul to dwell on
Why can't we leave the past
burry it deep within the sand
exchange it for all sorts of happiness
keeping ourselves protected from the pain
never looking back upon it again
Moving on in the path of life
forward motion is denied from the start
thoughts constantly haunt every moment available
keeping sainty from seeping in
and placing a heavier load on your shoulder.
Facing another day
experiencing one more rejection
just to stumble to the ground
causing grip on all hopes to be lost
and every question to be a little harder
