I am anticipating my moment...
Standing at the peak of my sorrowful mountain
Should I take this fall,
For those who've brought me here?
Those who have aggravated my heart
Left it bruised and wilting
Do you quite understand my plea
For ample hope?
Perhaps even a spark that lasts only moments...
Enough to ignite the fire in my heart.
Chase my soul through corridors that twist the mind as much as they twist in direction.
I long for affection to brighten my earthly complexion.
Light... Breathing,
My love she lays in a hospital bed
Hooked and secured to machines that expand and contract weakened lungs.
She gave in to asphyxiation
She treated herself to a plastic bag and noose
I watch from the windows as her bosom rises and falls, promoted by machines.
You can almost see her hollow body cry.
I am anticipating my moment, drinking away my pride
My sorrowful mountain casts a shadow upon a village of smiles
That should not have been forgotten...
