Whoa, no sooner had I finished on project beginning with K that I find yet another, this time called the Kagerou Project! But this isn't an anime, Kagerou Project is actually a series of songs (by the Vocaloid song producer Shizen no Teki-P, aka Jin, and sung using the Vocaloid Hatsune Miku for the first 3 songs and then IA for the rest) with a connecting story, all told in some really cool animations. You know... like a musical that's all broken up and you just have to watch 'em in order. Which is what I've been doing for the past hour.
The list is this: 1. Jinzou Enemy 2. Blindfold Code 3. Kagerou Days 4. Headphone Actor 5. Souzou Forest 6. Konoha no Sekai Jijou 7. Kisaragi Attention 8. Toumei Answer 9. Children Answer 10. Gunjou Rain 11. Shinigami Record 12. Dead and Seek 13. Ene's Cyber Journey The list is too big and it's a little late for me to go through right now emotion_0A0 but maybe in another post I'll write what I think of these videos, but if ya'll want, just go and watch 'em on YouTube. I happened upon these songs a couple of years back on Youtube (specifically Kagerou Days and Souzou Forest), but back then I didn't know there was a some sort of story here. Lots of Vocaloid songs tend to be like that (like the Kagemine twins crying ) But now I found the other ones after I found this really cool one called Children Record. It looks like it could be an anime opening and I watched it maybe 3 times. It's that good 3nodding It took me a while to realize the little girl from Souzou Forest was in the video, and then of course I went and googled. And there's even a Kagerou Project Wiki! Like emotion_jawdrop
Kagerou Project Wiki
Also from the wiki: "Two novels have been released, Kagerou Days -In a Daze-, and its sequel, Kagerou Days -A Headphone Actor-. A manga called "Kagerou Days" is being published monthly on Comic Gene, illustrated by Mahiro Sato. An anime has been announced."
When I saw this I was like, "Dam! How much have I missed?!" I don't know if there is an anime cause I haven't seen any other news but it is possible. Black Rock Shooter started out the same, you know.
I kinda like them, even if some are a bit disturbing stare I was reading it up on this wiki and the storyline sounds interesting. I might give the manga a try and wait for the anime if there is one.
Now I mentioned that some Vocaloid songs are freakin' sad, like real tear-jerkers. And one that really got to me, so much so that I don't ever want to hear it again, is "Prisoner" sung by Len Kagemine and "Paper Plane" sung by Rin Kagemine. I'm telling you, this s**t is seriously sad. Back in 2009, Prisoner was Len's song, about a young boy who was imprisoned and he fell in love with a girl over the fence, whose name he never found out. They would send letters to each other but then she left. And he died. emotion_jawdrop Paper Plane is the answering song, sung by Rin and tells the story from the Girl's POV. Basically she was sick, like really sick, and then she met the boy (BTW his name is Number 420. Just that cry ) and through the paper plane letters they sent to each other, she fell in love with him (notice the Romeo and Juliet theme here?) but then her illness got so bad she had to stay in the hospital. To make things worse, her old man is a general in charge of the prison and he sentences poor 240 to death. The end was pretty touching, when the two lovers met in a sort of afterlife and the fence that separated them disappeared heart So damn touching crying
When I first saw Prisoner I felt sad (Servant of Evil led me there). Then I saw Paper Plane and I just lost it. Full crying into my pillow, watching the PV again, and then crying all over again. And I thought that was that, but apparently there has been a manga and novel adaptions of the two, plus 3 more songs that detail the background of the Prisoner song, thus making 5 songs of the Prisoner series. Oh, and there's even a visual novel, those games where you make choices that could lead to good or bad ends!
I don't think I ever want to go back to this song, it's just... it's.. too much crying WWWWAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH crying
