The year has barely begun and I've already made a new discovery. I found the Glove and Boots Youtube channel. And man oh man, Mario and Fafa are hilarious, I can't stop watching them. In fact, as I type this I'm watching their video blogs, and I really can't get enough rofl
"The lines of the idea behind just making people laugh seem to have gotten blurred by the downward spiral of creativity. Instead audiences are subjected to overly crude behavior on the screen; laughs have now been substituted by disgust and who’ll outdo who in shock value." A dude named Bryan Cain-Jackson said so in his article about Glove and Boots, and I agree.
So-called "Comedy" on television and movies in recent times just isn't funny... and when comedies are funny, they're not comedy anymore. They're tragedies gonk They're just ridiculous and pretty much all look the same. This is why we who want quality laughs look to standup comedians and Youtubers like NigaHiga, Pewdiepie, and of course, Glove and Boots.
It was really by accident when I found them, to tell the truth. I was just aimlessly browsing for Pewdiepie when I saw this thumbnail with a little red Elmo like puppet and on a whim I clicked. That thumbnail was for Zombie University and I clicked on another, and then another, and soon I subscribed surprised I couldn't help but be charmed by their humor, which isn't too crude or too violent, and best of all, it's actually funny when it does.
Mario, Fafa and the rest of the cast create jokes that "is riffing on popular internet fads and memes, which no doubt helps explain their popularity on YouTube. Whether they’re explaining the Internet, answering questions all day in real-time on Reddit or just playing ping pong for 10 hours (yes, they really made a ten hour ping pong video) they’re always doing new things and experimenting with form" as according to PuppetVision Blog. They joke about things we all get, like spam (internet not the product), and the Doomsday thing that didn't happen. No lost folks here.
My favorite character has got to be Mario. This furry red guy is just so dang funny with everything he does lol whether flipping out in Zombie University, Walkie Talkie Dead, Twinkies or his supposed relation to Elmo, and I loved his video The Scottish Vote for the Shorty awards, where he makes the most inspiring speech I have ever heard from a puppet heart If he was running for the award again i would vote for him!
Oh man, enough. I recommend you or if anyone is actually reading this, just check them out on YouTube. Peace heart
