As You Got Older (Part 2)
As you get older, you see something.
Looking at it makes you want to sing.
On someones hand you see a ring.
You ask them were they got it from.
They said "they stole it from this guy named Rum".
They ask you "do you want some to".
You quickly answer "no, not from you".
School begins and you do your best.
Making sure to get A's on every test.
There is a dance at your school.
Dropouts posting posters saying "school is for fools".
You see this girl and ask her out tonight.
Telling her "you will treat her right".
For she will like your kindness to.
Hopefully, she will fall for you.
As you get older and remember the past.
You remember the years and the blast.
But most of all you stayed on the right path,
by not doing drugs that will ******** up your mind.
And years later, ******** you up on the inside,
By staying in school and doing your best.
By not inhaling drugs like the rest.
You stayed in school and get to bee.
A lawyer, poet, or fisherman across the sea.
