As she lies there in her grave, she wondered... How did I get here? What did I do to deserve to die? How did I die? Then suddenly her thoughts stopped. She heard a voice. No. Wait. She heard lots of voices. She knew these voices as from her past life she thought.

"Where's Evangeline? She should have risen by now!" said the strange, yet familiar voice. This voice is very assertive and direct, she thought as she kept listening in hoping to recognize one of the voices.

"Maybe she just doesn't know how to get out of her grave? Maybe she’s just scared and does not want to come out. Suppose she can’t see due to her blindfold?” said a different voice. This voice appealed to Evangeline. It was the voice of comfort and joy. She liked this voice it made her think of a loved one she might have had when she was alive. "I need to find this voice." she said as she started banging on her coffin.

"Help!" she called out. "Someone help me get out!"

"Wait. Do you hear that? I think she's trying to get out! Oh, Ezra help her get out!” called out the voice.

“No! The child must get out herself. It’s in the book of the dead.” He said to the woman. “Evangeline, you must find a way out of there yourself. “ He called to her.

A way out by myself? She thought, as she took off the blindfold and tied it around her wrist. She once had to wear due to a curse she had gotten as a child. As she looked around her coffin, she found a small box. I hope this has something I could use to get out of here. Hmm.. What can I find in here.. Oh wait here’s something!

“I FOUND A HAMMER. “ She called out. “Will this work?”

“Yes, that should work perfectly!” called out the voice named as Ezra.

Evangeline started banging on the wooden coffin with the little hammer she had. It wasn’t doing much, but it was certainly doing something.

“It’s working Evangeline! It’s working! Keep hitting it my love!” said a different voice.
Evangeline stopped hammering for a second. This voice I know this voice. She loved this male voice for it was much like the woman’s voice she had heard earlier. I must find this voice as well she thought as she continued hammering, but only faster. Then suddenly she sees a light. “I’m almost there!” She said. Now she let go of the hammer and started digging for there was dirt everywhere now, but before she started digging up the dirt she grabbed the box in which the hammer was in. Maybe I’ll need this when I get up there. She thought. Grasping onto the box she kept digging, but then she felt hands helping her out of the dirt.

“Before you come out my dear please put on your blindfold!” called out the woman.

So she put on her blindfold and held out her hand for some help. Someone had grabbed her hand and began hauling her up to the surface. As she stood up she felt hands everywhere dusting her off and then hugging her.

“Oh Evangeline, my love! I’m so glad I can have you in my arms again!” said this voice.

“HUZZAH. PRINCESS EVANGELINE HAS RISEN!” said a big crowd around her.

“Princess?” she said aloud wishing she could see the faces.
“Why yes! My dear! Don’t you remember?” said the voice known as Ezra.

“Yes. Don’t you remember my dear?” said the woman.

“I’m afraid I don’t. I truly wish I could though.” she said with a sad tone in her voice.

“I was afraid this might happen.” Said Ezra “You know what to do.”

“Yes sir.” said the voice.

“Now wait. Don’t you dare hurt me!” said Evangeline worried putting her hands in front of her.

“I promise I will never hurt you my love” said the voice as he grasped her hands. “I’m just going to give you something that might make you remember what you had before you died my dear.”

“But.. I won’t be able to see it due to this..” she began to say, but before she could even finish her sentence she felt something nice a soft against her lips. This feeling she felt before. She felt the face that kissed her ever so nicely and softly said “Di.. Dimitri? Is… Is that you? She said as a tear came down her face.

“She’s remembering! Kiss her again boy!” said both the woman and Ezra.

Then she felt another kiss and as she was being kissed, Evangeline had sudden flashbacks through her mind.

She hugged the stranger “Oh, Dimitri. It is you!” she exclaimed.

“She remembers!” everyone cheered.

“Mother? Where are you?” she said as she reached her hands forward.

“She remembers!” everyone cheered.

“Mother? Where are you?” she said as she reached her hands forward.

“I’m right here sweetie” reaching out her arms to give her a hug.

“It’s good to have you back princess.” said Ezra.

“Thank you Ezra.” She said giving him a hug as well.
