Inspiration turned Fiction
I'm bored and interested in writing, that's all the reason and the description that I need for this...
Reflection
Aaron tried to stem the bleeding, applying pressure on the gaping wound in his stomach from his encounter with one of the soldiers that had been sent by Bevelle. Magnolia Trish Alkippe had chanced upon him after the groups had split to search the ruins of Zanarkand, one looking for treasure and the other looking to capture the first.

He was unlucky one to run into his match in skill or even his superior on the battlefield, the blonde couldn't have been too sure. Chuckling, he recalled the way the Dark Knight had broken through his defenses and ran him through with her blade. It would've been lying to say that it hadn't hurt... hell, the wound still hurt!

Smiling, the Thief laid his head back and looked at the sky above in thought, reminiscing the many memories that he's gained over the last few months. After all, best to remember the good times if these are his last moments, right?

"I'll miss Lulu," the man thought of the Chocobo chick that he found in the Calm Lands, not that long after having attained his Aeon. Cindy.

He sent the animal away just seconds before the fighting had started, worrying over the safety of the small yellow bird. "Angie, too."

Aaron didn't wish to admit the truth but the Al Bhed woman had grown on him over the last several months, reminding him of some type of wild fungus. Inwardly, he contributed that piece of information to that blazing personality of hers.

Honestly, who couldn't find that little "hatred" of Humanity adorable? He sure couldn't.

Chuckling, the twenty-year old's features twisted into a grimace at the surge of pain that accompanied the noise. Alright, it'd appear that laughter wasn't the best medication for him in this situation.

"Eric, Syvelt, and Cian will understand that I couldn't stay," the dying man felt strangely reminiscent at the names of his friends, and hoped that they would understand.

Death never waited for anyone.

Gasping, Aaron mashed his teeth against each other to resist screaming in pain, taking note of the green liquid pouring from his stomach alongside the blood. Damn, Magnolia pierced his stomach?

"Ha, so much for dying in peace. I have to watch as my own stomach acids corrode my flesh... doesn't that sound peachy?" came the sarcastic remark, something that was partially out of character for him.

Aaron was the calm and cheerful person that was usually nice, although playful with most of his friends, and rarely acted sarcastically. However, the thought of dying managed to bring out the darker side of his personality.

His eyesight began to deteriorate from the massive loss of blood and the amount of pain that was brought about by the wound. He knew that his time was drawing close, the arms of Death moving closer and closer to embrace him.

"Aaron!" the urgent call of the White Mage was the last thing the man heard before the darkness claimed his thoughts.

He mewled as the sunlight struck his face, waking him from his slumber and bringing him back into reality. Unhappy, the blonde opened his eyes and looked around the room to see the cause of his awakening.

Ah, the curtains had been pulled open by some- wait, wasn't he dying?

"... what happened?" the youth questioned.

"Hey, Aaron, you gave everyone quite the scare there, man. Syv didn't expect for you to pull through in the end. Hell, we probably would've never known that you were dying if Lulu hadn't found us." the voice of the pilot broke through his thoughts.

Aaron looked at the blunette in surprise, recalling the fact that Syv's words had been the last thing he heard before falling unconscious. "How is everyone?"

Cian grinned at his comrade and clapped him on the shoulder; "Fine. You were the only one that sustained injuries that heavy."

He blinked, shocked by that revelation and groaned in disappoint... trust him to be the only one to run into death while the others managed to win or escape without heavy injuries. So. Not. Fair.
