Current Yu-Gi-Oh! Deck This is my deck i was fighting about my boyfriend and although i beat him, i wanna know if Ican thin out this deck, its a hassle having over 40 cards. Its mostly a defense Deck built around dragons. Fusion: Gaia the dragon champion. Ritual Cards/Monsters:. O M G! This is a mess! Oh jesus, let me think where to begin... I told you I'd help you though, so here goes nothing....

To start off,I'm not counting all that, sorry, too much. And I don't mean to be rude, but I'll tell you what you should keep in if you want a good Tier 1 deck.

Bottomless Trap Hole (x2)
Monster Reborn
And possibly Call of the Haunted (doubtful though)

The problem is that you have no focus. Normal Mosters are their own deck entirely. They don't splash with Dragons. Dragons swarm quickly with effects and beat down with high attack and good support. Normal Decks come out quick and don't generally have enough back-up. So go with Dragons if you want. It's hard fro me to help and not tell you what you need. And, you need a lot..Keep in mind, Yugioh is the most expensive card game you can play to keep up. My advice is to just stop right here and not play. Why? Because you are going to need to spend at least $100 on this fi you wanna play competitively. I've spent at least $500 myself, I wouldn't even doubt $1000. Over time of course.

I guess a good place to start is with mentioning staples.

Effect Monsters

Sangan
Gorz the Emissary of Darkness (You could us this, but I recommend you don't depending on the dragon style deck you play. He's a Fiend, so he ruins Totem Dragon which I'll explain later.

Spells

Monster Reborn
Dark Hole
Pot of Duality ($150 each, doubt you would ever want to spend that... Plus it prevents special dummon asnyway, not good in dragons.)
Book of Moon
Mystical Space Typhoon
Giant Trunade

Traps

Bottomless Trap Hole (You got them, keep them in.)
Mirror Force (Staple, and it comes common now, so shouldn't be much)
Solemn Judgment (Really useful for Van'Dalgyon. He comes out for free when you negate a spell, trap, or monster effect in response to the negation. Also a Dragon beater and has an effect when summoned this way. Note that Solemn Judgment cannot negate monster effects. Also came common)
Torrential Tribute (Cheap even as a holo. Definite staple)
Solemn Warning (Doubt you wanna spend $65 each. And you'd need to 2 anyway.)
Call of the Haunted

Basically, these are used in most any deck. Use them, they will save you and are a good place to start. I'll cross out the useless ones for you, or some of the really expensive ones.

Forget everything I just told you!
Don't play, this game is so expensive. Do not play. Do not get into it. You will run out of money so fast. Especially since you just wanna play around. Nevermind, if I were to give you advice and you listened, you will spend probably $200 to make it.

This is from one site. At best, half of what I spent online. Very doubtful though. Also, I buy in real life too. I know I've spent a TON of money in real life. Do not play, quit now while you are ahead. You don't want to get into the game. Cards lose value too. You know much I have left at best in cards worth? $200, and that is really pushing it. Please do not play. It's so awful! I will not help you, I don't want to drag you into this, lol. If you want help, look through your deck and take out what helps you the least until you get to 40. And take out the Winged Guardian Dragon thing #1 first. He is awful. I cannot help you. Sorry, I don;t want to drag anyone else into this game.
