Damn, damn, damn...Cancer.Accursed cancer.That horrid disease.It's taken yet another person from my family.Turns out, my great uncle Arthur died this morning.Not sure what happened exaclty, but he died.Accursed throat cancer.Taken yet another life.Poor uncle...I wasn't very close to him, but still...First Mrs. Mejias, my Algebra teacher from 10th grade too 11th.She was such a great person and helped me out during one of the hardest times of my life.Died before my 11th grade year finished...And her poor daughter...I really hoped that Mejias would live long enough to see her graduation.Then there was our old mayor, Willie.He was like my mom's second father.That's how close they were.Then bam!Diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.He lived longer than he was expected to, so there was that...And now Uncle Arthur.-sigh-Maybe I'll die of cancer too...Both of my grandparents from my dad's side died of cancer.Grandma from stomach cancer and Grandpa from colon cancer, I think.I don't remember.Then there's my other grandpa, who got prostate cancer.How am I not supposed to be worried?Sure, I will never smoke and drinking doesn't amuse me at all, but there's a genetic factor involved...
