Getting closer to the ground
From a thousand foot fall

To the Angels
who were there to catch you and only you
As you piloted us straight into the ground
We can feel the fire burning
Burning holes in the metal cage
you've kept us all so safe and warm in
We can taste the acrid scent
Of polyester nightmares
Feathers torched
the bird is falling
Flew too close to the sun
But we forgive you
