When the MOON grows dark and the SUN grows grey,
what sort of creatures will come out to play?
The Werewolves might come and h o w l,
while Goblins sneer and lick their jowls.
Will you see the malicious Fae?
Or maybe the Vampires will take the day?
Will the Mermaids sit and comb their hair,
while Harpies carry you off to their lair?
Mayhap Trolls will take you away,
and leave you where the Basilisks lay.
Might Dragons start to hunt and prowl,
and Ghouls give off a ghostly howl?
Perhaps Satyrs will come and dance,
and Unicorns come out to prance.
Zombies might come looking for b r a i n s,
and Imps will dismantle the trains.
Will O’ the Wisps will make you stray,
whilst the Griffins might carry you away.
Naiads might lure you to drown,
and Leprechauns will steal your crown.
All in all it’s safe to say,
stay inside while the monsters play.
