Into the Castle
"Riku, be very careful here.One wrong step and you could fall into the abyss.", Rixa whispered, slowly scaling up a wall where she remembered that it had a vent from which they could enter unnoticed, "We have to be quick, but careful."
"I know.Naminé and Kairi are in there.", he whispered, focusing on keeping his balance and not making a wrong move.
Rixa reached the vent first and punched it, making the cover fall back from the force.She pulled herself up and sighed, stretching her arms.Riku was almost close to her and she extended her hand to help him pull himself up.Once both of them were on the ground again, they squeezed themselves into the vent.It wasn't an easy task for Riku, whose current form was that of a grown man and not a teenager.Rixa was in front, carefully maneuvering them until they reached an area that was empty.Kicking out the vent cover, Rixa jumped down and looked around to make sure there weren't Nobodies to get in their way.Feeling secure, she signaled Riku to come down and join her.
"I don't understand.I thought this place would be heavily guarded.But there isn't a single Nobody in sight.", Riku said, "They can't be this cocky."
"Shh, don't make a sound.I know them too well and there aren't any Nobodies around because they must be guarding Kairi and Naminé.Otherwise, they wouldn't waste them on watching out for intruders."
"Alright, alright.Where would they keep their prisoners?"
"I can't think of a specific place right now, so we'll have to search the area until we find anything that resembles a dungeon.Or...let's find the laboratory where they keep their files.If I could hack in, I could find a blueprint of the castle and pinpoint where they'll be keeping Kairi and Naminé."
"I never knew you were so devious, Rixa."
"It's part of my charm.", she whispered.
Running down the white halls of The Castle That Never Was, it was as Rixa had said.There wasn't a single Nobody to be seen anywhere, which still felt odd to Rixa.They had to be expecting some kind of intruders by now...
Unless they want us to try and rescue them...
After running down various halls, they reached the laboratory and Rixa inmediately set to work.Even after leaving the Organization, it seemed that they hadn't blocked her entry codes and made it easier for her to hack in.Scrolling through files and files of useless data, she managed to find the blueprints to the castle.Riku studied it and found a small room that appeared to be the castle's dungeon.
"That must be where they're holding them!Rixa, let's hurry!", he yelled, running right out the door.
"Riku, wait!Stop!", she yelled before he could stop him.
He was out the door and headed toward the dungeon, which worried Rixa.She hadn't been able to tell him that she also found a file stating Xemnas' plan to use Kingdom Hearts for his benefit.She shut down the computer and followed in Riku's direction, hoping that she would reach him in time.
