An experiment, nothing more.
Well... maybe paraphrasing wasn't the right word,
I was completley intrigued by the idea of another one of my kind, I found myself becoming...obsessed with the stories Mia would tell me. I felt like, in a way, I knew her, and she was my friend. Reneesme was her name, she was five years older than me, but still trapped in almost the same body I was trapped in, I found the name rather odd, but rather fitting.

It was that night, the decision was final, we were leaving.

I climbed the spiral staircase up to the left tower where my room had been since the day I was born. I walked over to the bay window and look out onto the stunning city of Volterra, this would be my final look at the city that I was somehow a part of, the part that was lurking in the shadows.

I felt the tears welling in my eyes, and I knew it was time to leave my room, I walked over to my bed, gathered my pillow and favorite blanket, and small bag for toiletries, and shut the large wooden door, covered in iron vines tightly behind me.
I went slow as I walked down the spiral stairs one last time, my hand grazed the brick wall, my black flowing robes draped delitcately over the stairs.

I reached the bottom of the stairwell, and turned directly right, into the large oval room where Aro, Caius, Felix, my Aunt Jane, and father Alec spent most of their time. I reached the large ancient double doors, and pulled on the rode iron handles,
"Daddy?" I cooed, as I peaked my head in between the massive pieces of wood.
Alec turned his angelic face, and danced across the oval room as I delicately brought the rest of my body into the room.
"Yes, Darling?" He asked, his voice sweeter then honey, more amazing then the best melody.

I looked to my right, and Mia had silently entered the room, and was now standing next to me.
I looked into my fathers eyes, he was obvioiusly confused.
"Dad, I need to tell you something." I said, my eyes never meeting his face, I couldn't bare it.
"Now? We're in the middle of som-" He moved his hand in a gesture toward the other four.
"Yes, Now. Dad... I'm leaving, Mia and I are leaving. Were going to find the Cullens, I need to know more about myself, and this is the only way... I'm sorry..." I felt my eyes swell with tears the words felt like fire as the rolled of my tongue. I couldn't control the tears as they ran down my face. Alec moved his hand to my face, and whiped the tears away from my eyes. I buried my face into his black robes, and hugged him tight. I stepped up onto my tip-toes, kissed his cheek, and returned to Mia's side.

Suddenly, I felt the like I had to, no I needed to stay, I needed to serve Aro. Mia touched my arm, I looked at her and remember, Chelsea's gift, I didnt' need to do anything.
Aro looked at us both, "Go in peace, my loves," He whispered, pain coated his words. The collector was losing his prized posessions.
I looked at my father one last time, and glided through the ancient doors one last time.

Being part of the Volturi, money was never an issue seeing as we had been around for the past 100 centuries. We decided our best plan would be to take a plane to Seatle, and then run to Forks, seeing as I needed to sleep and eat.

It was around noon when we arrived at the airport, suddenly we realized that our black flowing robes wasn't exactly the ideal thing to be wearing in and airport full of people. Nearing security, we found two suitecases and looked inside, their were clothes that were approximately our size, I grabbed a black lace skirt, and tight fitting purple tanktop, a 1980's looking leather jacket, a pair of gray converse, and a white and black ribbon to tie into my hair, the results were to die for.

We came to the reception desk, the man behind the desk suddenly froze, his mouth dropping in utter surprise.
"Hello Sir," I said, batting my eyelashes, "Could you point us to the terminal from Florence, to New York? He was speachless as his eyes traced up and down Mia and myself, I just pointed, his hand shakey, I couldn't control my chuckle.
"Thank You, Sir, enjoy your day." I dazzled him with my smile.

We had no luggage besides my bag with my toiletries, and my blanket and pillow, so security was a breeze, and we were on our plane and taking off within 45 minutes. Centuries worth of money definitely has its advantages, first class was a dream. The privacy shield gave Mia and I the advantage to talk until unconciousness consumed me for the rest of the flight, and the connection from New York to Seattle.

I dreamed of my mother, which I normally did, but this dream was different. I saw her giving birth to me, I saw myself ripping apart her stomach, the blood going everywhere, the only concern was me. This dream was also different because I was there, watching but I couldn't say anything, and no one could see me. I wanted to scream, DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME! I'LL BE FINE, SAVE HER! SAVE MY MOTHER! SAVE HER! I woke in a sweat to the pilots raspy voice over the intercome, "Attention passengers, we are now approaching Seattle International Airport. Please Fasten your seat belts and prepare for landing."
