I was like a bird flying unsteadily
And when I fell you caught me readily
You healed my bruises and the pain
And taught me how to love again
As my my broken wings healed under you

You gave me pleasure for quite long
But my wings wish to take flight
And neither of us can stand another fight

But your love for me... neither of us have a clue
You hide it so well
I argue that you never fell
Though you caught me before I hit the ground
I doubt you never heard my sounds
My sounds of love and devotion
You just went through the motion
You helped me to feel better and calm
But you still only viewed me as a fawn
Something to be helped and cured
Even though you heard my heart as it stirred
So now I beg please let me go
This way you can find out and know
If you truly love me
Or if you just feel guilty
For never returning how I felt
