Description
A usually perky blonde woman has just divorced her husband, and lost custody of their dog in the settlement. She decides to try something new and searches for a new home in a different part of town. The only place she can afford is a tall, thin, rickety
house on Cemetery Lane. She's used to the sunny and lively area of town known as Rosemary Way. Adjusting to the creepy spider infested house is made even weirder when she meets her neighbors. But then, she discovers there is one person on Cemetery Lane she hasn't met. He turns out to be a shy goth recluse who lost his wife due to being struck by a freak bolt of lightning. The two become friends and help one another deal with being lonely, as well as all the kooky folks surrounding them.

Characters

Emmyleine: The once perky and popular blonde, who is newly divorced from her husband of three years.

Jack: A goth recluse whose wife died in a freak lightning accident. He lives across the street from Emmyleine.

Locke and Luna: Twins who live in the small house behind Emmyleine. They usually finish one another's sentences, and love to collect things.

Poppy: Emmyleine's older sister. She's even more blonde and perky than Emmyleine ever was, and disapproves of her home and the people she is choosing to associate with. She also has a secret crush on Jack, which is partly why she tries to separate her sister and his relationship.
