So as you all probably know, I'm a greenbelt in karate. This 11 year old, Dylan, was one of the only other greenbelts in my class on a general basis. He'd be annoying, yes, but we'd always joke and fake spar and such (though a lot of the times I"d end up kicking his butt. )

Well, belt tests were last Friday. Due to financial issues because of my mum getting a house, I've been lucky to get in two classes a month, rather than all eight. So I didn't get the chance to advance, but he did. I just went to class today, and suddenly he changed. He now has the idea that since he's one belt over me he has full authority over my actions and that he suddenly had the strength to kick my a** if needed. At first it made my blood boil to see him have such a large ego. But it wasn't a minute after that that I slipped into the bathroom, tears rolling down my face and wondering how the hell one belt color change ruin a friendship.

Could anyone explain this to me? redface redface redface redface redface
