Sasuke stood silently, his red eyes glinting in the moonlight. He had a feeling eating at him that something awful was about to happen. His heart nearly stopped when he heard a familiar voice behind him.
"Well, well, well. Look who had the guts to actually show up tonight."
Sasuke turned quickly to face the newcomer. Before him stood Deiju, the traitorous demon that had tried to kill both he and Mellise.
"What have you done with Uotani-sama," Sasuke asked, trying to keep the fear from his voice.
"You mean that little wretch, Mellise? Oh, well . . . She's a bit 'tied up' at the moment."
Sasuke glared at Deiju, hatred shining through all else.
"I can't believe you didn't realize sooner what had happend," Deiju continued, Sasuke's hatred growing with every word he heard.

His heart began to pound as Deiju summoned a Dark Blade to his hand. Sasuke hadn't been able to summon much more than a small pocket knife for the past few days due to his injuries, and he did so then. The injuries were not his own, but were the result of what had happened to Mellise. (They're lives being intertwined, they share injuries.) What Deiju and his crew could have possibly done to Mel to make it where Sasuke could summon only that small blade he dreaded to know. His heart pounded even harder as both he and his opponent circled, looking for breaks in the other's defenses.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Trinian City, Mellise was trying her hardest to break free of her dark prison. She had gotten herself untied but now she had to find her way out of the underground maze of caves.
"Ouch!" she exclaimed as she bumped into yet another wall. It was almost impossible for her to see in the shadows. She continued to walk on, feeling along the walls for guidence. She ran into another dead end.
"Where do I turn now?"
"Uotani-san," someone whispered behind her. She jumped and spun around. Heero was standing before her.
"Heero-kun?! How?"
"Shhh," he signaled. "If you wanna get outta here you have to be quiet." . . .
