Confrontation with Saix
"I have to find out...he has to know more than he's lettng on.", Axel thought to himself, headed toward the Grey Area, "He can't keep me out of the loop."
He arrived at the Grey Area, glad to see that Saix was the only one there.Roxas, Xion and Rixa had already left on their respective missions, so no one would be there to bother them.
"Saix, we need to talk."
Saix lifted his gaze to face Axel, amused that he was angry at him.Axel wasn't one to show anger at anyone, much less him.They had been friends when they were human, after all.
"What's on your mind?This better not take too much of my time."
"You know what I want, Saix.Rixa, and everything you know about her.", Axel said, "I know you and Xemnas have information on her that you won't let the rest of us see."
"And why would I show you that?It's strictly between the Superior and I to know these things.", Saix whispered, "You have no right to it."
"The hell I don't!I care about Rixa and I don't want her to hurt so much!", Axel yelled, "I've seen her do things that scare the rest of us.You yourself saw what she's capable of."
"It is for the best that you don't know.", Saix said, still calm, "The truth would shock you beyond belief.Rixa...is not like us, Axel."
"Then what is she?How can I know if you're not willing to tell me?"
"You'll just have to accept the fact that you can't find out.Leave things the way they are, Axel."
"I refuse to leave it like this.Rixa's...special to me.Just like Roxas and Xion.I can't let her suffer..."
"And how is finding out the truth about her going to help in any way?Hmm?Answer me, Axel."
"Just shut up, Saix!"
Axel punched the wall Saix was standing in front of, nearly hitting him in the face.Saix's expression didn't change one bit.They stared at each other, Axel with anger and Saix with indifference.Both stayed still, waiting for the other to make a move.
"Go ahead, Axel.Hit me.Attack me.It makes no difference."
"I won't do it.I have one last thing to tell you.You saw that look Rixa had in her eyes the other day.What did you see when you looked into them?"
Saix opened his eyes in surprise, not expecting Axel to pull that trick.He remembered the blood-red serpentine eyes Rixa had when she stared at him, how full of anger, hatred and rage they were.
"She...is unlike any of us.In all form and way, she is like us, yet not like us in the same way."
"What are you talking about, Saix?"
"You want the truth?I'll give it to you."
Saix crept closer to Axel, whispering in his ear.Axel dropped to the floor when he finished, not believing the things Saix had said.It just can't be, he thought to himself.
"Now you know, Axel.Can you live with the fact that you know the truth about her and still act like nothing's changed?", he said, walking away while Axel stayed on the floor, "I'd like to see you try."
"No...it's impossible...Not Rixa."
