Star's special journal
My journal of thoughts. Maybe a poem or guide or something every now and then.
The last day of 2009: Memories of this year
It is the last ten minutes of 2009 for me. The ball has dropped, but we have 10 more minutes before the new decade.

At the beginning... I can't remember much. One thing I remember in January though. I remember me saying 'back off, Masha! D:<' in my head when she winked at John. That's how horrible I was. It was this month, however, that I discovered that Megumijones, the kind girl I had been GIMing, was Annelise, the girl from 6th grade. Our bond as friends became better, and eventually evolved into BFFs. On Valentine's Day, I had been seriously contemplating giving John a valentine with the biggest plea ever. I refrained however, quite possibly preserving our friendship in the process. For the rest of the year, it was nothing but jokes, laughter, and the occasional pissing John off. Which is really ******** scary if you ask me. When Botany started, and we got to repot plants, I mildly teased John about getting the flower instead of the jalapeno like I did. He then gave me the logic of what would he even do with a jalapeno. I realized by this time that I loved 6th and 7th hour... if only because I got to see John, and the others I had become friends with. I had even become somewhat of friends with this girl named Maddy. Her twin Abby I barely knew though. I became friends with some of the SEAS Kids even, the very ones that at the beginning of the year, I thought I would despise. When formal came, I was so nervous because I couldn't get the nerve up to ask John to Formal. And I didn't. I got asked by this other guy, and we went together. Except we were together for about an hour before we decided it wasn't working. For the rest of Formal, I hung out with my friends, Bri and Amanda. Earlier that day, I was forced to watch from the sidelines the tug-o-war. I knew some people on a team so I cheered for that team. When the year ended, it was so... boring, really, on the last two days when the SEAS Kids were not there. Before the bitter end though, I had gotten John's e-mail. But, he got it wrong so I could not e-mail him. However, he e-mailed me and I got his e-mail. On my last day of school, in FACS, that is the day that I ate cricket chocolate. Then, I ate a live cricket. And I finally agreed to have a goldfish put in a cup of Dr. Pepper and swallowing it. It was quite possibly the best start to summer I can think of. And when summer came, many, many things changed. The first thing was when I was in the GD. I stumbled upon Face the Strange. The greatest failfiction ever. And then, in July. I stumbled upon Uptight Prude. It was mindblowing. I had an event in my shop for the Prude Crew even. It was all the start of putting Internet Star into real life. No more would I be the horrible person who usually said fail once a day. No, I began to transform from 'b***h' Star into 'bubbly' Star. In the middle of summer, I found out that I'd be getting new neighbors. When they brought their kids, I met Kaeli, and you know the rest(again, another journal entry!). And then, the day I fractured my arm.... you know the story. But when August came, I realized the time of school was almost near. I would finally get to see SEAS Kid John again. And I would finally get to start French. And I would finally get to start 8th grade, which is supposed to be the best year of middle school. When I went to orientation, when I got my schedule card, I looked at it with bated breath, hoping for 7th hour science. I had it 3rd hour, similar to 6th grade when I had it 4th hour. I sighed, I figured I could track John down during the year. With my luck I'd have HPK in my class. When the first day of school came, I found out I had Cat in my French class. Now, I had been jealous of Cat a few mere months ago because she seemed to have taken up all of Mitchell's time, because she was(still is) his girlfriend. All he would talk to me about was video games. Yus, explosions, I know, but that's all he'd talk about, and then anything else, he saved for his girlfriend. To my surprise, she greeted me warmly. That was the beginning of friendship. As the next two days progressed, my heart sank as I realized that I couldn't find John. When break for FACS came, I had walked into the hallway to wait for John, figuring he'd come that way.... nothing. Social Studies was too far away, however I was still happy because Mr. Johnson = epicly awesome. HPK wasn't in my classes, however... he didn't seem to be anywhere, actually. I was happy for the moment. In fact, as September went by, I slowly gave up on ever seeing SEAS Kid John again, I was moving on quite swimmingly. Plus, things kept happening, like this time I scratched this kid Alex really hard and now he has such a horrid grudge that he wants ten times the revenge that he should get. By September 30th, he was the last of my worries as I walked with my friend Bri. The bell had rung while we were in the cafeteria, but I had band the next hour, so I had no worries really. Just hanging out with Bri as we casually walked down the front hallway of the school. Then, very, very suddenly, the least expected thing and the thing that I thought was the least possible thing to happen happened: I saw SEAS Kid John again. He ran into the school, and ran as fast as he could through the hallway, raged at some kid(from what I remember anyway) and ran up the stairs. Stunned, I told Bri who he was and what he meant to me, and why I was so surprised to see him. She nodded quite sagely before we parted ways as she went down the stairs to the school 'basement' sort of place where the locker rooms are, gym offices, wrestling room, pretty much the indoor activities that weren't the gym or the pool are down there. I went my way to band, and my spirits, which were quite content anyway, had absolutely soared above the clouds. You see, summer had not weakened my liking for John. As the saying goes, 'Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder'. I really really liked him by then. I did not see him, however, until a few days after October 19 I think. I was on my way to band again, once again figuring that it was a fluke that I'd seen him, when I saw him out the window, running to science. That is when I realized I needed to wait longer than I had been.

Oh, oh, oh, I REALLY should tell you about the Erik Vincent concert that happened on October 19! When my mum and I arrived, my mum was unenthusiastic while I was mildly excited to see this French singer. By the end, everyone was participating. Especially with the crocodile song. Madame had taught it to us in school, and so all the French students were singing. It was so much fun. And then, at the end, this lady told me I had a really nice singing voice.

Which brings me to another detail I neglected that really deserves a mention. In September, I tried out for a play. And I got in! It was Schoolhouse Rock. I think I only got in because of my singing voice, but that's okay. It was so much fun, being all cheery and singing. My group got to sing Interplanet Janet. Oh my gosh, so much FUN! On the night of the performance, all us Interplanets got to glow! I had this little group I'd sit with during practice, just-a-chattin. Every Tuesday and Thursday was spent at practice. I sang with all my heart, knowing that was what would do me good in the play. I even got the Venus solo! Remember?

"So, Janet split for Venus but on Venus she fo-ound, she couldn't see a thing for all the clouds ar-ound"

Man, these things got stuck in my head, and they still get stuck in my head. I sometimes catch myself singing "A noun is a person Place or Thing" or some other song when I'm bored. I really wish I was in another play! >w< I have to wait till Rainbow fish to see if I get to be in another play at the middle school.

After the play, and after not getting into Velvetine Rabbit, my life was boring again. However, between those two little things. See, between them was HALLOWEEN!!! So, I took me and Cat and Mitchell, and went as the Prude Crew Members. I was Uptight Prude. Cat was Zombi, my rapist, and Mitchell was President of Nothing. We still make rape jokes. Oh! Before Halloween, before the play performance, I got to dress up in my Prude tie and get taped to Ms. Burr's/Mrs. Seleski's wall in REVENGE! That schemin' Ms. Burr totally trashed Ms. Crownhart's room the previous Thursday, so OF COURSE I had to get my revenge!

As November rolled by, things began to speed up, mainly because I had something to look forward to again. Seeing John is something to look forward to imo >> Especially since this was when he got to go to Oasis. It was Wednesday and after study time, during snack, we were catching up, and joking like old times. Neither of us had seen HPK Erik though. Looks like he's outta our lives. And then, since there was no dodgeball on that day of Oasis, we played Paintbrawl, a fun paintball FPS. I actually distinctly remember something like this:

Me: Now, just don't call yourself 'Please Don't Shoot' again
John: But I don't want to get shot, therefore my name is telling the truth!
Me: But the name just makes them want to shoot you MORE!
John: ....Reverse Psychology! >=D

And so it ended up being somewhat of a 'forbidden fruit'... if his parents found out that he had been playing paintbrawl and ENJOYING it no less, they wouldn't let him go t Oasis again. Though, I suppose that it wouldn't matter since he can't go anyway. He recently became a latchkey kid. Oh well.

December... this past month.... not much has happened. Except the trimester changed. Now I'm in art and social every day. So now I can walk with John all the way to the end of the hall before we part ways. At least on B-days anyway. On A-days, I have to wait till after art. Which is a very good thing, because everyday, I have to run like hell just to make it to art on time. But that's okay, I need the exercise anyway. And I have a good motivation too, since I absolutely love art.

And so, as I finish this up, 2009 has died. 2009, rest in peace, and may no one offend you, for you were, truly, a good year. And it certainly wasn't the worst decade to be alive. It certainly could have been worse. And until it gets it's official nickname, I shall call the last decade 'The Dorkades' because it was the rise of technology. Because, ********, we're saying 2010 now(any of you who read that as 'two-thousand-ten' go shoot yourself now, you ******** retard). We must be in the future.

(( Eh, lil' note: I'm sleep deprived up there. which is why I am swearing and acting like this is cracked.com ))

I stopped growing my dragons in my sig, but I'm opening an art shop so please visit that! Thank you!
