Here are the notes I took:

SKIN:
1) Start with the BASE color
2) Then make NATURAL SHADOWS; VERY VERY light shadows that seem to always be there
3) Now make BASIC SHADOWS; the darker shadows
4) Next comes LAYERED SHADOWS; shadows of weird colors like red or purple; they usually outline around BASIC SHADOWS
5) LIGHT SHINE; a lighter color than the BASE that are in the middle of the surrounding shadows

EYES:
1) BASE color
2) Darker color over
3) Shadow
3) WHITE DOTS
--
HAIR:
SAME AS SKIN MINUS LAYERED SHADOWS
--
CLOTHES:
1) BASE
2) NATURAL SHADOWS
3) BASIC SHADOWS
4) LIGHT SHINE
5) LIGHTER SHINE a light line that sorta outline the LIGHT SHINE
6) WHITE SHINE outlines shadows
