Life Cards
la~la~la two 10-23-09
Same routine once again. . . only something happened this morning. Something bad. Y'see, at my school I have this group of people I hang out with before school starts. We all hang out in the library (nerdy I know) and talk and have fun right? Well out of this group of like twenty kids or so only like. . five or six are actually my friends, one my "wifey" is the most important to me out of all of them, (and next- if she sees this, surprisingly enough is my friend Courtney 3nodding ). Anyway, this morning my wifey seemed rather down right? So I of course I was like "Hey are you okay?" She nodded and smiled, but it never showed in her eyes.

"Liar~!" I had said and she just wrapped her arms around me and layed her head on my shoulder, hugging me tightly and clinging to me. After a few minutes or so she pulled away and told me that she had gone to the eye doctor- her glasses had gotten broken early on in the week- for a new perscription and told him about these freakishly bad migraines she'd been getting for awhile. The doctor had thought for awhile before telling her to go see her family doctor. Of course she asked why and they told her that she might possibly have a brain tumor.

Now, my wifey is usually so strong but upon telling me this she started crying. I felt totally useless that I couldn't do something, anything to make her smile and laugh, something to take her mind off of things. I tried everything I could think of to make her smile, even if only for a moment, but to no avail. It sucks. . . so bad that I couldn't help a girl who had been there for me whenever I needed her, who kept my secrets to her alone. This is the third time that I have failed her. Once last year, and two times this year, how much of a sh-t friend am I?

I don't know what to do. . . I see her on my way to lunch in about fifteen minutes. . . But I can't upset her further. I guess I just have to smile and be strong for her and continue to be there for her. Who knows, maybe it's not a brain tumor, maybe the migraines are caused by something else. . . Maybe. . . No not maybe. . . hopefully.
