Death Child 1-4 parts
Death Child

Written by yours truly, Ann aka iNadeshiko.

A Dark past must be revealed
But the memories are gone
Nothing but a blank memory
Something has gone wrong
Tell me the feeling of love, hatred, and death
Does it hurt ?
Does it last?
Come to me my everlasting
And reveal to me my past

Prologue ~

The lock on the door had been broken as two, deadly creatures of the night approached the infant that was hidden carefully in a cabinet. The infant bawled until one creature shushed it with its bite. The night was silent, but the trail of blood and sorrowful cries stayed within the moonlit darkness. Nothing but bodies were found there the next morning. There be only a mere child, an newborn, left there for the next day, but had disappeared along with the creatures of the night.

Chapter 1 - Embracement (1-4) parts

Waking up in the middle of the night has never really been my thing. I often woke up around 6 PM, But today I had to stop the cravings I usually got for being around many mortals for such a long time; Blood. I had to stop the urges before it became to hard to control and go berserk like last time. It was much harder to find release around here in Beverly Hills than it was to find in London. Much harder.

I finally spot a deer or an antelope run by and I quickly chase after it. It wasn’t long before the deer was lying on the now blood covered grass. I was quick and much faster than anyone at my school. I had to dispose of the dead animal before anyone noticed I wasn’t in bed. I throw the animal into the dark river and run back home to my window.

My brother, John, was sitting on my bed and it looks like he was waiting for me.

“Mari, you must warn us before you go off on your own like that. I know it’s getting harder and harder to control your urges but bear with us and we can help you.”

I was trying to think of some excuse good enough for him to believe that, hey, maybe I was in the bathroom. But how would I explain me coming through the window?

“Stop trying to think of an excuse. You know very well that they don’t work on me.” He said.

He was right about that. He never believed the things I said when the truth was so obvious. I looked up at his face as the moonlight shined on his blonde hair and fair skin. I looked him in his amber eyes and apologized. He let me get away with almost anything when I did that.

He got up off of my bed and told me to get some rest. The window closed as I shut my eyes and began to dream of the next day.

I blinked my eyes to get used to the usual lighting. Yawning as I got up, making my bed, I smell breakfast being cooked. I smelled bacon, eggs, waffles, and biscuits. Oh, how I loved the smell of biscuits in the early morning. I got dressed, brushed my short black hair and brushed my blood stained teeth and run downstairs.

I only see Catlin who looks like she just got finished cooking breakfast. I look around looking for Hendered and the rest of the guys. I already knew John and Felicity wouldn’t be up this early. They are full breed vampires after all. We half breeds have to respect that.

My real parents died in an accident when I was just a newborn child, so I don’t remember much about my birth. All I know is that I wasn’t born as a vampire. I was bitten as an infant, so I’m not pure breed vampire. A pack of friendly…okay almost friendly vampires, had adopted me and none of them are really related. Catlin is the friendliest vampire in the house.

She’s the one who does the cooking, cleaning, and mothering. Her slim figure and long blonde hair make her seem like a model. The most cruel vampire in this house is Xello. His piercing red eyes stare into your soul and his cursed white hair that I envy ever so much. He’s nothing like John.

John was kind to me and was like a father. He cared for me more than everything. I don’t understand why, he just happened to… maybe I should put this into flashback mode. A long time ago, back when I was only 4 years old, I realized I was on the verge of death. It was winter and close to dawn. I was freezing and I was thinking to myself ‘I shouldn’t have run away from that foster home. But I hate it there! I’m never going back!’

I walked till it was so dark that I couldn’t see anything. I paused in my track hearing footsteps come up from behind me. I turned around to notice a dark figure. As he got closer I could see a face that looked crazed. I was slightly afraid.

“Hello little girl. Are you lost? Where are your parents?” He asked me with a frightening grin.

“…” I said nothing to the man.

“oh are we shy? -laughs evilly-” He laughed creeping closer to me.

“-licks lips- Why you look appetizing. May I drink your blood, child?”

“Ahh…” I shouted but he covered my mouth to keep from anyone to hear me.

“now now, child. We mustn't awake the village. Just keep quiet until I finish…but I doubt you'll be able to talk after I'm done with you.” He licked his lips and bared his fangs.

“a…a vampire!” I tried my best to shove him away but it was no use. He was too strong.
