The 7th circle, or; Tales from Hell's Corner Office
Ah, dear friends...Welcome, welcome, to my lovely diary. Of course, this is very private, so, since you are reading it, you can expect to have your eyes burnt out in a grisly fashion in... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... Have a nice day. You can ren
Saikyou Crisis chari
Wherever delinquent youths gather, knuckles scarred and callused from thousands of street fights, a name is whispered in a terrified hush across their split lips.

That name is NOT Art Bellow. It's something generic. Bob Something, maybe. But anyways, he sure wishes it was.

It might make sense at this point to mention Art's full name. His parents, wealthy douchats that they are, gave him the entirely too pretentious name of Edovard Rein Viktor Korbel IV, after his father, grandfather, and great grandfather, the latter of whom made a fortune in the textiles industry before Johnny K. Gambino's grandpa was out of diapers. His child, Edovard Jr., nearly doubled that fortune with a smart investment in the magic material that today makes up so much of what Gaians wear. Edovard III continued this trend, and today holds a magnificent piece of property that spans seventy acres of the Bartonian countryside. He had hoped that his son would followin his footsteps.

Unfortunately for him, a life of pampered indulgence suited young Eddy like a brick to the head. The cloistered existance his family led chafed at the boy's free spirit, and his escape attempts became well-known among the estate security, who called him "The Bellower," after the tantrums he'd throw upon his inevitable capture.

These token escapes ended on the day his father took him to the R&D section of his company.

Wandering away from his father, the teenager encountered a small, winged creature held in a cage. It was the beggining of a beautiful friendship. The creature, who called itself Zero (short for Experiment 0), was a prototype created by Korbel Industries in their attempt to fuse intelligence into clothing and create accessories that changed depending on their owner's whims. The aliented boy found a strange sort of comraderie with the strange little creature. Both of them were trapped, their fates in the hands of another. It helped matters that, in fact, that "Other" was the same person.

The teen was estatic. His attitude improved immensely, and he began to replace the time formerly spent plotting his escape on daily visits to Zero.

And then, about a year later, Zero wasn't there when Eddy came to see him. When pressed for answers, a researcher informed him that experimentation on Experiment 0 was complete, and th prototype was to be terminated and physiologically examined.

Hearing that your only friend is going to be dissected isn't exactly the best news in the world, and Eddy didn't take it as such. He had always dabbled in boxing, but the blows he landed on the researcher, torturing him until he explained where Zero was being held, weren't the careful and measured blows of the "squared circle." They were driven by rage, and fear, and grief.

With the information he wanted, the young heir stormed the euthenasia chamber, rescued his friend, and fled from the manor, nver to be seen again.

It was several years later that a man by the name of Art Bellows began to fight in the underground Duremite arena, run by the shady Kuros. In this setting rife with Vampires, Elves, and mages, Bellows fights only with an evershifting weapon he only calls "Sifr."

MEMO #39281: Korbel Industries; Department X

-Lethal force is authorized against Bellows.

AMMENDUM: Experiment 0
-Under our tests, the prototype could only shift shape when not in an immediate combat situation. Proceed accordingly.
-The prototype is an enhanced version of the mass-produced Gogh Reed.
-You may shoot to kill the prototype in a combat situation.

"-at this time, the government is unaware of the location of the armor, and are urging all Gaians to stay insi-" Cindy Donovan's voice was cut off as the person viewing her pushed a button on a remote.
"Hey! I was watching that!" piped an indignant voice from what appeared to be an oversized egg laying on the arm of the couch, "Why'd ya turn it off?"
The figure on the couch sighed, rolling its eyes. "You were sleeping. I heard you snoring all through the broadcast." The figure stretched, revealing itself to be a young man, maybe twenty-two years old at most, in a sleeveless shirt. The lack of sleeves revealed a well-muscled tan arm, at least on the left side. The man's right arm was made up of a bundle of cybernetics and metal. He stood up from the couch, and made his way across the tiny appartment to the door, grabbing a windbreaker and a scarf as he went, then reaching into a pocket to pull out a pair of fingerless gloves, which he donned reverentially.
"You coming, Zero?" he asked, seemingly addressing the egg, which split along the middle, unfolding into a dragonlike creature of diminuative size.
"Art, we can't go out there," it shrilled, a plaintive tone to its little voice "You heard the newscaster! What if Tenshi attacks?"
Art Bellow, for that's who he was, raised an eyebrow at his friend's pleas. "Why do you THINK I'm going out?"
With that, he stepped through the door, forestalling further conversation. Muttering to itself, the tiny creature followed.
