This morning I was on the computer and I heard a knock on the door. I could see the top of someone's head and I didn't know who it was. So, I ran into the bathroom. I usually never answer the door because people make me nervous. I hear my gate open so I look out the bathroom window and it's a police officer. I go to find him since it is probably something important, but he is already pulling out of the driveway. I didn't know what it was about.
Lemme tell you what happened the other day. An old lady lives by herself 4 houses down from me. At 10 o'clock in the morning, someone broke into her house through a window, tied her up in her basement, and robbed her. I also heard that she was beat and lost an eye, but I'm not for sure. She was found at around 7pm. Nine hours! It is really scary. The police were going around asking if anyone saw anything, but none of us did. My mom told the cops that it might have been an impostor Comcast salesmen. He came to our door the other day and my mom said he looked really suspicious. She said he said he was married but she didn't see a ring. We aren't for sure who did it but there has been 9 other cases in the area. I'm locking my doors tonight!
