As the hours drew near and the Mistress reflected on the day before, she remembered the sight of her dear companion and the dread of the return of the dugeon. Now was the time for no anguish, but as she prepared to desert her retreat, she couldn't help but feel the harsh regret lodged in her heart and throat.
