what is up with... chicks being so into these cross dressers in jrock bands? Don't get me wrong. I love Bou (former guitarist for An Cafe) as much as the next guy. He's awesome. But seriously? Seriously? I really can't quite understand it. I don't get the fanservice either. As in, I don't get why the fans dig it so much. Like when Miyavi attacks various male musicians with kisses. Girls love it. Why? I don't dislike it. It's kind of cute in some instances. But... idk. It confuses me. I like the cross dressing from an artistic point of view. I want to get this point out in the open before I go on. When I look at things, I look at the lines, shading, or particular good points when looking at people. I can find what someone might call an average person beautiful. So when I see these men dress up in female clothes, truthfully, it makes them beautiful in a different way than usual.

As for fan service, it doesn't do much for me. I don't really get why some of those girls dig it so much, but I suppose it's since they like the Shonen-ai and what not.

I totally agree on the art thing. Sometimes these guys just look amazing in women's clothing. It's like looking at some kind of marble sculpture if they do it right. They really are beautiful.

So I get that more than the fan service.
But yeah. The love of Shonen-Ai remains a mystery. Like I said, I don't mind it, and it can be kind of cute, but I don't understand the response these musicians get.

Yes, a sculpture is a perfect representation.

I don't get all the fuss over Shonen-ai either, but I think it's to each his own. A friend of mine once told me everyone has a certain type of couple they like best when reading. I think it has to do with that. **shrugs**

I'm thinking the reason the bands are so popular is a sort of fad. It's just the current fad over in Japan and it's leaked into parts of other countries.

Yeah. I mean I like the music, but I just want to listen to it and not be spammed with fan service when I look up videos on youtube. xD
