Love of Hours Away

A friend of mine named Jake and I danced at a 4-h event, and while we were dancing he told me "I wish this dance could last forever..." I looked up at him and smiled, and we continued to dance. After the 4-h event was over we all headed home. Jake and I hugged eachother goodbye but we continued to txt the rest of the day. He said "I really wish we would have kissed..." I answered back "Me too..." and we basically said "I love you" to eachother. Problem is, we live 4 hours and 30 mins from eachother. And we said that we would date but theres no way we can see eachother that much, possibly about 4-5 times a year if we're lucky... so we would wait till we got older... problem is, I dont want to loose him. What should I do....

	Don't know if this is still going on, but to tell you the truth, there is no guarantee not losing someone you love. People drift apart over time, and it just happens with little or no warning at all. The best thing you can do is just let him know you're still there for him if he needs you, and if you're lucky it will work out in the end. I'm sorry I don't have any better advice, but that is just how it goes. I will let you know one thing, it is more of an indicator for a possible failure of this relationship (been in this situation myself before), don't go overboard in talking to him, just say something here and there (i.e. don't be obsessive, if it doesn't work out, it will just hurt you in the end) and if he is not responding to most of your messages (give him time though), it probably means he has something better to do (i.e. the relationship will not work, sorry, but it won't). Once again, sorry I don't have any better advice, but that's all I can say that is reasonable. Also, if you do see him again, and you two are still interested, cherish the moment and don't let it go to waste. PM me if you ever want to speak again. See ya.
