As I walked along the narrow corridors of the abandoned home, I began to feel like some cat burglar set on stealing something hidden within this house. Alas, that was not my intention, for I was sent here. It had been a few days that Haruhi's second playtoy, Mitsruko Rirvera, had not shown up to the club meetings. Of course, our all mighty deity grew angry and made a fuss, dragging me into the middle of everything. I awoke in the middle of the night, formally dressed in my school clothes instead of my gray sweatpants and shirt, to reach into my pocket and pull a note.
"Discover the truth behind Rivera's appearance to set things right", was written on a small card, the recognizable neatness, almost hand typed, message belonging to the one known as Nagato. I was pissed. No sleep, no rest, not a single waking moment that I could have to myself was available anymore, always Suzumiya this, Suzumiya that. But enough of that. Getting back to the beginning of this tale, I took a peek into the narrowly creaked open crack of Mitsu's door, to blink in astonishment. Hair tied into a ponytail, red bangs bouncing slightly when he turned to observe what appeared to be a piece of paper. Heh. He was writing. Now I remember clearly, he seemed to light up when he saw the chance to obtain a scholarship to help him reach college.
I quietly watched as he dozed off into a deep sleep, myself seeming to lose all drowsiness as I watched this boy before me. One out casted for certain dressing styles, one who always seemed to wear an optomistic smile and have the ability to make any downer smile again. Stepping inside, I took the paper from those gentle hands of his, reading over, realizing this boy had a talent. Surely his teachers said the same. Don't see me as a pervert now, but I honestly couldn't resist. I myself am not gay or anything of the sort....but I bent downward to place a fatherly, yes fatherly, kiss on his gentle and warm fox ears.
And so the mystery was solved, I explained to Haruhi the next morning that the boy was merely aiming for a scholarship. This bothered her still at first....before the devilish grin of hers appeared on that face again. She got an idea along the lines of making an SOS Brigade scholarship....yeah, one consisting of ten dollars tops. I myself just want to lay back and sleep the day off. Last night was exhausting in a way, seeing as I had to find the location with few research sources. But aside all that, I wish the boy the best, and hopefully, his effort pays off....
