My homework...
Like the title says, this was my homework. took me an a miraculous 1 hour to write this [approximate]1137 worded essay out of the possible 500[minimum words allowed] to 1200[maximum]. Its pretty sad if you listen to Lies by Big Bang and I'm sorry. [they are both on my playlist. Number 3 and 4. And you should watch the video of lies and I'm sorry. It's on my previous journal entry.

No hate showing. Dont critic me, i get enough of that from my teacher...
The heavy rain soon turned into a soft drizzle. I stepped out of the shade and comfort of the patio. Bare-footed, I felt the tickle of the wet grass. My slow walk watching the surrounding picturesque scenery turned into a life-or-death run. My panting became heavy and my heart thumped. I heard quick agile movements behind me. I turned briefly while running and screamed when it lashed out at me.

"No!" I screamed. My sweat trickled down my head to my chest in small beads. I opened my eyes to the light blue pattern of my curtains and looked at my shirt. I clutched my stomach at the place I was scratched. After thinking a while, the dream became a disgruntling blur and I soon forgot what happened. As I got up, I heard a slow tapping noise at my window. I turned slowly towards my curtain. "Should I open it?" I pulled open the curtain and braced myself for the monster that long haunted my dreams. Slowly, the sunlight seeped into the room in golden beams. When I opened the curtain completely, I saw the fragile movements of the swaying of the trees and the shadowy figures of the surrounding areas. I searched the shadows and saw a black figure move. "Shadows don’t move by themselves," I said in a panicky tone. I backed away from my window as the figure grew larger. It inched slowly toward my window only to reveal itself as a dog. I sighed to release the stress that I harnessed in me. I walked out my door, letting my curtain agape, and felt a surge of air fly through me.

I felt everything go cold as I saw everything blur and collapsed. My heavy breathing became louder. I felt a cold trickle escape from my stomach. My once steady breathing turned into short, quick gasps as I felt the warmth of blood.

I once again felt the cold rush of air as I felt myself degenerating. I searched around the room as I realized that I clung tightly to the green carpet. "What was that?" I asked myself as I got up. "Oh, too fast," I fell against the wall and stayed there until I felt balanced. I walked down the hallway to the bathroom. I turned the faucet on and washed my face. I looked up at mirror and for a second saw a person dressed in black staring at me. His obsidian eyes stared quietly at me and into oblivion. He disappeared as fast as he appeared. My hand soon turned numb as I felt the cold rush of the water ran through my fingers. As I came back to my senses, I turned the water off and dried off my dripping face. I ran out of the bathroom knocking into the stranger. I held my breath and closed my eyes waiting for an attack. "What's wrong with you?" It was my brother's disdainful voice. I came into realization that I hallucinated. "Nothing. Sorry." I said in a nonchalant voice. He picked me up by my wrist. "Hurry up with breakfast. We have to leave soon." With that, he left and I heard the door close behind him in his room. “That’s right,” I said quietly to myself. “We’re moving with Auntie Ky. today.” I flashed back to the day mom and dad argued with each other.

“Get away from me, you drunk!” my mom frantically screamed. Dad swaggered towards her and in a drunken tone said, “Come on. Just come with me and my buds.” He then raised his arm towards me in an insidious way. “No! Mei, run!” I looked at my dad’s red eyes. My legs were frozen as were the tears in my eyes. I screamed as I was picked up and rushed to the door, away from my dad’s grasp. I heard something click and turned to my savior. My brother held a gun towards my dad. “Kuya Beh?” Without looking back at me, he said in a somber tone, “Don’t move from behind me.” He motioned the gun towards my mom then, to the door. She mouthed, “No.” My brother took this chance to let me escape. He moved slowly towards the door, keeping his hand steady and pointed. My dad, in return stared blankly at my brother. My mom motioned us to go and raised my brother’s baseball bat. She nodded her head and my brother, with one hand, opened the back door out to the pouring rain and shoved me outside to the patio. “Stay here,” he said to me in a calm voice. He closed the door. I looked in the window. I saw my mom nod again and my brother clicked the gun. A gun shot rang around the house and throughout the neighborhood. I thought I would hear my dad scream but, it was my mom’s. I was thunderstruck. I peered through the window at my brother. His arm was shaking and I realized that my dad had miraculously dodged it and was now on the couch. My brother saw me in the window and dropped the gun. Just then it fired and shot my dad’s leg. My dad screamed. “You little-!” My dad cried in pain. My brother looked towards at me and yelled, “Run, Mei!” This time I ran. The rain turned into a soft drizzle and I ran bare-foot into the wet grass, leaving my clogger shoes on the patio. I looked back and saw my brother. He yelled, “Duck!” I tripped and heard my brother scream in agony. His debonair face was filled with pain. I saw my dad at the door holding a gun. I heard the sirens sound and the police around the house screaming, “freeze!” My dad dropped to the ground, slowly debilitating.
My flashback ended. I looked at my spoon full of cereal. I was completely oblivious. The tears from that day fell slowly in my cereal. I heard a noise behind me. “Mei? I’m sorry about Mom.” I jumped from my seat and ran up to my Kuya. With a wet face and shaking hands, I cried into his shirt and hugged him as I hugged my mom. He looked at me. I felt his arms wrap around me and his tears fall on my brown hair. His body shook as he cried. Then, he pushed me aside. “Go finish your breakfast and get your bags. Auntie Ky is here.” I finished and walked upstairs. I got downstairs to find my aunt. She accosted with shaking hands and a red face. When all my bags were loaded, I looked up to the sky. “Ma, Pa?” I questioned the heavens. “Mahal Kita.”[that means I love you] I turned to the house. "Bye-bye." Nothing would ever be the same.
