I watched the movie and absolutely hated it. It was way too romanticized and dramatized... and to top it off... the acting on Bella's part sucked. So I thought I'd give the saga a chance before fully judging it when I haven't even read the books.

I started the saga about 1 week ago... and I am already on the 3rd book. When you first start reading it... you just can't stop... and after you realize you've just spent a few hours in a row without eat, sleep, or drink... and you're about over half way done with that book... you recap what happened... and not much really DID happen. It's very uneventful and to tell the truth, I've read fanfiction better then this. But the pages seriously have crack in them. I'm the kind of person who has to finish a series no matter what my opinion just to figure out what happens... so I'm continually reading it. The 3rd book so far sucks worse then the 1st and 2nd by FAR so I'm having a little more trouble finishing it.

Another thing that bugs me about it... is how pussified the vampires are. I mean, come on... glittering in the sun? No fangs? What kind of crap is that? Although I do like how some vampires have special powers different from a "common" vampire.
All-in-all... it's not as great as everyone's making it out to be. There was really no need for the hype on it.
