Randomness Exemplified
Poem
A pen
They come in many colors
In many sizes and lengths too
The humblest of us may with these tools write
Greatest works of our time
Their sleek designs
And heavily chewed caps
Mark the passage of time
Whether lost or found
In almost any place
A use can be found
So with these simple artifacts
That belch these colored inks
Their evolution is not yet complete
We must wait and see what the future has in store

It's interesting how you describe pens as "greatest works of our time", as if it's something that revolutionized society... or soemthing like that. yes they are great because it does "mark the passage of time". You look back in those ancient, let's just say Cave-man time period where they didn't have pens invented, they used whatever sharp object or stick and it was a little difficult to write with. And then there was the use of bird's feathers and ink haha... it sure has a long history. The poem's nicely put together. I wrote a poem about pens before but it's directed towards its positive and negative use. Actually, I was more comparing it to a pencil, and the other main importance: the invention of pen-erasers. yes, very important because I look at Pens as having this bold statement that is not easily rebuked as opposed to pencils whose marks can easily be overlooked by pen markings. just some food for thought. mrgreen
